My boyfriend and I came to celebrate our 4.5 years here, and I really enjoyed it! The inside was super busy, but we were able to sit at a table with no issue. The service was quick! We got our food within about 5 minutes of ordering it, and the food was hot and fresh. For appetizers, we got the fried dumplings and vegetable tempura. The fried dumplings ($4.50) were nice and crunchy, and went super well with the dipping sauce. The vegetable tempura ($8.00) was also amazing! I ordered the teriyaki chicken entree, and it was amazing. I didn’t realize it came with rice and carrots, which was a pleasant surprise (I wasn’t sure if they had only come with the combination plates). The food was more than enough! For the price ($9.50) it was a really generous portion. I really enjoyed this experience and am excited to come back!

I was disappointed with the hibachi chicken dish. The rice was texture with no flavor. I noticed that the table next to me did not eat theirs and took leftovers without taking the rice. Also the carrots did not make any sense. They did not pair with my dish and did not look good with the stir fry next to me. The chicken was OK and the mushrooms with it were good. I also had the miso soup which I enjoyed. It had small tofu and pieces of seaweed which was wonderful. The table next to me had beautiful spring rolls and they said they were tasty. They looked fresh made so I am going back to try them. The atmosphere was bright, and welcoming and the staff did an excellent job making sure all folks were taken care of. Because of this I will definitely return and try something else :-)

This is a rough one. The food was good but not exactly tasting like Japanese, imho. However, it was good. I'm not sure about the carrot thing. I ate them they are fine, but I don't typically want a side carrots. Unless I'm at Cracker Barrel. The cost is similar to a hibachi steakhouse, but that is where that comparison ends. It was good, but it was not like I would say this is a must try restaurant in this area. I'm honestly in the fence if I would visit again. As there are other options that I have liked better in the Dillsboro/sylva area. As the price is a bit much for basically fast food Asian dishes. Again, it's not exactly tasting like Japanese, imho. The pricing is also up-charge style. Want onions add 1.50 want some zucchini add 1.50, etc.

Beware To-Go orders. Placing an order can be difficult. If the lines aren’t busy, the way they package their food for you will completely disenchant you. We’ve ordered regularly from them. And this is the third time that our to-go order has been ruined. The first time they stacked the smaller fried shrimp boxes on the bottom of the bag, then put a single sushi box on top of them and a doubled box on top of the single box. The result of this was the top heavy box crushing everything else below. When I called to complain, the man who picked up the phone treated me like an aggravation. After a long phone call, where he spent most of the time reprimanding me for not checking my bag before I got to the house, they agreed to comp my next meal. Both on that occasion and on the meal I bought today, they put a hot combo order beneath the cold sushi, and put hot fried shrimp and fried rice boxes on top. making both my sushi warm and my fried rice cold.

The food is fantastic- IF YOU CAN ENJOY IT. I only place this review after a third disappointing meal. And with each ticket costing over $50, one would hope that they would put more care into their packaging for to go orders.

So please heed my advice. When you order To-Go; you cannot be too precise. Request that your cold and hot foods are not packaged together. Request that the heavier boxes go on the bottom. And REQUEST THAT YOUR COLD AND HOT FOOD ARE NOT PACKAGED TOGETHER AGAIN. Trust me. I am unsure if it’s from lack of training or sheer adamancy to push orders out as fast as possible. But it is a MUST to get it through to this shop’s employees on how you want your food packaged so it’s edible by you get home.

The food itself is delicious but it’s like it’s packaged by people who think it’s their job to give you warm sushi. Beware...

I've been to many, MANY sushi restaurants. It's my favorite. But, when you advertise hibachi, make sure you don't drive the meat out, by over cooking, season accordingly and put just enough hibachi sauce! And, make sure it doesn't closely resemble teriyaki. I ordered the hibachi chicken, hubby ordered teriyaki. Of course, bought the unagi roll and dragon roll for later (both were great! Sauce, roll and all!) My hibachi chicken was dry, not seasoned and very, very minimal hibachi sauce. Hubby's teriyaki chicken was dry too, with a tad bit more sauce than I had (which was still very little). If the chicken wasn't dry and seasoned correctly, or at all in this case, I would have completely overlooked the lack of sauce. This place gets pretty busy but there wasn't much of a wait at all. The staff was friendly enough, customer service was so-so, but they were attentive even with as busy as it became. Price was definitely fair. The place was neat and clean, including the bathrooms. But when we went, the light in the women's bathroom was out. Overall, it was an ok experience but not something that would make me wanna go back soon. I love my sushi and that was the only good thing that came out of this. But I did have a question. What's with that condiment on every table? It tasted like mayo and something else, I couldn't quite make out. Definitely doesnt belong there. Completely out of character for the restaurant and it wasn't even good with that food...

I would put a lower rating but this is one of my go to places for sushi. I come in here quite often and was appalled by how rude a young blonde girl was who was working there. We walked in and we know that we are allowed to sit anywhere, we look around and it’s pretty packed around but we saw a booth that was being cleaned so we patiently waited because we wanted to sit in the booth since there moto is “sit anywhere you like” the waitress comes out and we politely asked if we could sit in the booth, she threw down the menus rolled her eyes, heavy sighed and practically embarrassed us in front of the whole restaurant! We ended up sitting at a different table since it was a huge inconvenience for her. If you’re going to act like that simply don’t work in a place that you give service. Thank God we didn’t get her, I guess the other waitresses saw how she acted because she was gone for a whole 10 minutes and finally cooled down enough to come back in! The food was good and the waitress who took us over was phenomenal and very kind and attentive! Again I don’t give low ratings but the way that this waitress acted out was very unacceptable, considering I come to eat here...
