Amma's Indian Kitchen — Restaurant in Sylvania

Went for dinner.. the place is strangers on the tables plastic foros and knives in a container not wrapped anyone could touch them drop them put them back risk of germs.. very slow when we were their but food took a long time to come out my husband liked his butter chicken I then wanted 15 min for my food. We ordered mild I ordered ck karma what came out looked not like ck korma I took I bite and this was so spicy!! Med or higher..I had a bad reaction neck turned red ears burning felt sick told staff she asked if I wanted them to remake II said no!!! She then brings out a new dish and tells me the cook made the wrong dish!!! That I had and now this new dish was ck korma!!! I tested it but I felt sick and wanted to leave.. it was still to spicy.. things happen but in this case it was not busy at all.. like I told them the sever should have known she was giving me wrong food they look nothing alike.. .it being my first time I didn't question it because each place cooks dif. !! They were nice but I came home that nite very sick... I would skip...

So excited there's a new Indian restaurant in town!

I've tried every Indian place in the area, even driving out to Livonia, Ann Arbor and Detroit to try places out there. I'm not very high on Indian places in Toledo, but I can say after one meal this place is the best already.

I tried the butter chicken and chicken biryani. Both were the best I've had in this area. The butter chicken was special. Nice balance between tomato-y acidity and sweetness. Not very spicy but that's ok. The biryani was great and the sauce that comes with it was great. Really nice spice level to it, although I'd prefer more mint flavor personally. Still, that's nitpicking. Excellent food.

Only complaint: no naan bread. Hopefully that's because today was the soft open and first day of business.

The girl at the counter was very polite and friendly and even gave us a complimentary desert to try! I wish you guys the best of luck with your new business and can't wait to try the rest...

Food is good, but cold and low on quantity. They say it is a buffet but when it comes to serving we have to wait for the Dosai delivery. One at a time like. The waiter asked me to wait for 5 mins but did not come contact me at all untill I go there to pay off the bill. I don't know why he kept me waiting, ther was not that much crowd at that time. May be 5 more people. Could not eat Dosai so, just the starters. He asked me to stay longer for Dosai as he did not want to give it as a take away too. But by then it was late, I was full and I paid the buffet amount and came out. He asked me to come next week for Dosai and said u ate starters so it should be fine. LOL. Won't go there again. I would not rate this place for a buffet. Not satisfied with the service and the way they advertise the buffet option. For drinks mango juice only and only one dessert. If u go in groups they charge 18% more for...
