TLDR: won’t come back again. Very very very basic sushi. Very limited options and cheap quality fish. Newly open. A lot need to be done.
Came in on Labor Day. Spent $45 (tip included) by myself. I was kinda excited to go in but only spent 20 mins and I’m out
Menu options: 1/5
very limited choices of fish. Only have salmon, tuna, tako, mackerel, red snapper, yellow tail, scallops, tofu skin (there’s a typo on the label too) and some other basic fish. Basically there’s less than 10 kinds of sushi on the belt. You sit there for ten mins and you will get bored of the sushi on the belt. This is not what you want from a conveyor belt sushi place. It was supposed to be that you get excited of what’s coming next on the belt. But in this place sorry it’s not that fun.
Comparing to other conveyor belt sushi place like Kura, the option is really really limited. Not even a masago or maybe squid?
Fish quality: 3/5
All fishes are pretty basic quality but giving its a conveyor belt sushi place it’s fine. Tuna is dyed red.
Interior: 2/5
AC is kinda warm. Typo on the sushi label. Wall decor is 0/5 🫠. They use Chinese not Japanese on the wall. Considering it’s a Chinese owned restaurant I guess it’s fine.
Other details:
Using the robot to deliver drinks is fine but maybe clean that thing better. You can see water splashed everywhere.
Music is terrible. I will give a 0 if I can on the music. Very random English songs and why playing interstellar song in a sushi place?
Wasabi is in togo packages that you can buy from grocery shop.
My table sauce plate was dirty when I sit down.
The sushi plate that they use on the conveyor belt is dirty. At least two of my sushi plates I got from there.
The place is so quiet and you feel you are eating and your grandma (people who are waiting and servers) is staring at you.
Food does take a while to get on my table by the train.
Front door is dirty.
When server is checking me out, it was kinda rude like they think I’m not gonna tip.
On the ordering tablet, the only option in “call attendant” is to check out. Maybe add some more options like refilling drinks. It doesn’t make people feel good.
No one ever checked my table or say anything during the whole meal not even when I’m checking out and tipped 18%.
No hot tea options. Sushi should have hot tea as pairing. At least that’s what all Japanese sushi places do.
Maybe get rid off the signing receipt. Why I have to sign when I already paid and tipped on the mobile...
Read moreIf you love sushi and new experiences, then I highly recommend you try Kawa Revolving Sushi. The experience alone is worth the trip. The food isn't anything different than other sushi or ramen houses I've tried, but the experience made for a fun visit and felt like I was trying sushi again for the first time. I will definitely eat here again. The conveyer sushi options are small plates with either 2 pieces of nigiri or 3 to 4 pieces of sushi roll for just $3.25 a plate. You can also order full rolls if you prefer more of a single roll type. Also tried the shoyu pork ramen, which was delicious. For appetizer, I had the takoyaki, which are octopus pieces in a fried dough ball. I've had takoyaki before, and these were larger than what I expected and well worth a try. For dessert, I had the taiyaki with green tea ice cream. I've seen taiyaki in anime but never had them for myself. Taiyaki was a pleasant surprise. It's a fish shaped pastry filled with red bean paste. The pastry reminded me of a filled funnel cake and paired well with the green tea ice cream. All in all, I spent a bit much trying all the dishes, but I don't feel like they are overpriced, and the conveyer sushi options are a great price, especially for small eaters. They also have a robotic delivery service that brings out your drink and ramen and a train that delivers special order items like rolls and deserts on top of the coveyer. It was such a fun experience. Hope this is helpful and that you enjoy your...
