Amazing Salvadorean Cuisine & Bakery - A Hidden Gem in Tacoma! El Boqueron Restaurant and Bakery is truly a treasure on Pacific Ave. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, friendly service and the mouthwatering aroma of freshly made Salvadorean specialties. The pupusas are absolutely AMAZING - handmade, perfectly grilled, and stuffed with delicious fillings. They're a must-try and easily the best I've had in Washington! Don't leave without trying their horchata - it's refreshingly sweet with the perfect blend of flavors that complements the food beautifully. Another pleasant surprise was their Yuca con Chicharron, which was fresh and tasty. The bakery section deserves special mention, too - their semita and other traditional Salvadorean breads are freshly baked and authentic. The prices are very reasonable ($10-20 range) for the generous portions and exceptional quality. The passionate owners and staff clearly take pride in sharing their culinary heritage with the community—plenty of free parking is available both in front and on the side of the restaurant. Being Salvadorans ourselves, my girlfriend and I can vouch for the authenticity of this Tacoma restaurant's...

The teen in our group had never had a pupusa before and declared them her new...
