Use to come here a lot, but it's been a couple years. Maybe it was an off day, but I was very disappointed. Firstly, off day or not they switched from their delicious amazing hand cut fries to frozen shoe string fries, I was really sad to see this change, the hand cut fries were SO GOOD! I always order the same burger, always felt the $9 price tag was a little high, but worth it. Not this time. Everything was cold and flavorless. The service, which usually the place is packed and we would still get this happy energetic and attentive server, loved it!! This time, place was empty at 12:45pm. The server was talking about leaving at 3 already to her coworkers, was very short and rude. When one of us asked what all came on the burger, just to make sure there wasnt any cheese the server snapped, "whatever it says there is what it is". Now, I cant tell you how many times I've ordered a "hamburger" and had it come out with cheese... even though no where does it say it's a cheeseburger. Regardless we were just checking and she was very snippy for no reason. Otherwise she didnt pay any attention to us, just worked on her closing tasks. I'm disappointed, I loved this place. Would come in almost weekly. I'm hoping it was an off day, and maybe just maybe they'll bring back the old hand cut fries! I will give them another chance next time I'm in the area. I wonder am I the only one that misses the...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Little Jerry's on a Tuesday at about 11:00 am. This restaurant is located in a small strip center in a neighborhood. When we walked in, we were a bit shocked by how small the interior was. There are 6 3'x2' tables, and that was it. The interior is all about the Seinfeld TV show. There are 2 flat screens playing Seinfeld shows. I started with a cup of black coffee. It was like drinking hot water with a small taste coffee beans. If you like coffee, skip this. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. She got 4 halves of very tasty biscuits, not dry at all. They were covered in a very generous amount of delicious sausage gravy. Eggs were well cooked with cheese on top. I ordered scrambled eggs, cottage potatoes, bacon, and sour dough toast. Eggs were well cooked, and the potatoes were wonderful and lots of them. I really enjoyed the bacon, lots of flavor, and just the right amount of crispness. Overall, we enjoyed the visit, and the food was really pretty good. Should mention there are 4 tables in front of the restaurant that can seat 4 so on a nice day they would be a...
Read moreFollowing another PT appointment it was off to find breakfast. I saw Little Jerry’s and thought Why Not? What a hidden gem in the Fern Hill area of Tacoma.
The restaurant looks tiny as you walk through the door but there is a large dining area around the corner from the kitchen with a long L shaped bar with bar stools and several 4 top tables.
The entire theme is centered around the Jerry Seinfeld show, including episodes being played on the TV behind the bar dining area.
Our server was attentive and extremely friendly. I asked for some recommendations. Her suggestions did not disappoint.
I had the Nap which is chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs, home fries and a biscuit. The gravy was very tasty and a little on the spicy side in honor of Mardi Gras.
My husband had one of the “stacks”, called The Ticket. He chose the home fries, and English muffin. It included chicken fried steak, bacon and he chose scrambled eggs. All if it was smothered in the same spicy gravy. It was not only unique but very tasty as well.
Little Jerry’s is only open for breakfast and lunch. We will definitely be...
