Monster Burgers — Restaurant in Tacoma

I agree with kendria phillips --I have to say this was a first try and I was not pleased, the service was adequate for the type of place but my chicken teriyaki, shrimp were luke warm, and teriyaki sauce jelled. I asked for it to be hot and the man was very nice and took it back to heat it up it came back on a clean plate the same temperature as before lukewarm and sauce cold and jelly like. rice was cold and tasted old and dried out like three days old, salad and dressing good but everything was covered in too much dressing and sauce. The cheese stick and only warm. and tasted like cardboard. i am being nice to give them a 2 stars because they were nice people. But they need to step it up on properly heated/cooked food, taste and when someone is nice enough to ask for a hot meal heat it up until it steams and stays hot while you eat it. I had neither! I wont go back again. Maybe I should have had a burger I dunno but this is not a good teriyaki joint which is depressing since both workers are of some Asian decent I have had better chinese food made by hispanics and their shake...

We heard amazing things and decided to give this joint a try. We wanted something so my partner could have a burger and i, my teriyaki. Here is my long review as a burger joint and teriyaki joint.

First of all my three stars is a average.

Burgers 5 stars good messy burgers just like everyone else. Their advertising is terrible as you they don’t tell you wants on it. Like let up mustard what?!

Fries- 3 stars kind of squishy. I like more crisp.

Now for the one star part. Beef teriyaki. Was not teriyaki. It was like the beef from the philly cheese steak with the water sauce thrown in. It had large chunks of onion, with carrot slices and broccoli. When I got home I tired to add teriyaki sauce it did not mix well. I guess want I’m saying is that is not teriyaki. Salad with the wanna be teriyaki, was terrible looking and because we had to drive home to eat was soggy because they put the ranch sauce on.

We came here because I wanted a good burger without the fast food hype. From the parking lot view I thought "ok this is a hole in the wall place" and it is a small place inside. But holy Cow!! (pun intended) Inside the menu board shows an eclectic mix, burgers, Chinese foods and teriyaki!!!! This has got to be heaven! We ordered the monster burger plate that comes with large fries and we added a soda. Let me tell you, Monster burger it sure was. It was huge!! And was served with a full basket of krinkle frys! Am not normally a fan of those but this one's were cooked right, hot and crispy made to order and you could taste it. The burger was amazing! There was so much flavor packed into it that it burst out and ran down my chin and hands. So very delicious!! I would highly recommend this place, the service was great and the food amazing and we will check it out again to try more of that...
