Came in on fathers day with my husband and daughter, in the morning around 10am. Slow, relaxed... the kind of atmosphere where you receive excellent food and service, right? Wrong. The signs all say seat yourself, and we did so in the outdoor eating area; a waitress greeted us when we entered, but failed to deliver menus or ask for drink orders for at least 10 minutes. Tables aren't wiped down. Trash litters the floor. Another waitress is serving the other half of the section, but does not acknowledge us at all. When we finally order, I ordered the eggs benedict for myself and the French toast with strawberries for my daughter, paying an extra $2 for strawberries. My husband orders the steak and eggs and explicitly asks for a rare steak. Thirty minutes later, we have our food. My coffees been refilled once, by a passing waitress that is not ours. It does not get refilled again, nor am I asked for a refill. My eggs benedict is good, but contrary to tradition, the hollandaise sauce has already been poured and looks almost dried on my plate. My husband's $15 steak, cooked to order, is done medium, not rare. We don't see a waitress, so we flag a passing waiter. He offers to bring another steak. 30 minutes later, the steak is practically grown at my husband with nary a word or apology. It is rare, but brown inside and a greenish tinge to the meat; a week old steak I wouldn't feed to a dog. By the time it finally arrived, my daughter and I were finished and my husband had lost his appetite.we asked for a check and to go box. No problem right? Wrong. 15 minutes later, my husband goes up to the bar and pays, and receives a to go box. For the price paid, the service and health of this place is horrendous. We will not be dining here again; this meal was not worth $45. I would rather take my business to Dennys than here. Avoid if you want high quality; you won't...
Read moreThe manager of this restaurant should be ashamed of their poor planning on a holiday weekend with a fully booked golf course. Not only were there no considerations to adjusting the restaurant/bar time to accommodate the holiday rush. But only a bartender and single kitchen staffer were schedule for opening at 11. After waiting for the first major wave of people to get through my friend and I waited 35 minutes to receive a turkey sandwich and hot dog as we made the turn at hole 9.
As for the actual restaurant food rating I am giving it a 1 star because that was the sadest thing I had ever gotten at a golf course, and it came with a bun that was so stale it rivaled the toughest beef jersey to pull, yes I said pull apart because you couldn't bite through it. The turkey club was a good sandwich but the fries tasted like old oil with next to no seasoning on them. Threw them out.
For such a nice looking restaurant I would have expected something better and more accommodating. Very disappointing.
Props to the bartender for keeping her cool as she was bombarded by customers immediately...
Read moreI came here today to catch some football and lunch. Service was terrible due to them clearly being under staffed so I don’t fault the waiter who was also bartending. It was not obvious to seat ourselves so we stood there longer than necessary, once seated it took about 5 minutes to get our drink order, 25 minutes later my food arrives before our drinks. Again clearly under staffed as our waitress was very apologetic. I watched what appeared to be a manager walking around and checking on other tables that had what appeared to be gild club members. Throughout my entire visit we felt ignored and neglected. I will not return and will pass along my experience to everyone I know. If you aren’t a mega rich golfer I think you’re better off hitting up the nearest fast food restaurant as they will at least be...
