I don’t normally review places online, but I was denied when I called and asked to speak with a manager - here it is:
I’m new in town and know ONE person in Tahlequah. I’ve enjoyed the company from the staff at this boomerang for the past year until today…
I normally drink FOUR cups of coffee in the hour or so I sit there 3-4 days a week. Sometimes, I also get some breakfast. I really liked this place because I NEVER had to ask for a refill on coffee - today was different.
I sat for nearly 15 minutes at the counter with an empty cup, during which time staff periodically stood directly in front of me having personal conversations.
When I was finally asked, I mentioned how much time had elapsed and the staff member became clearly upset, responding with the kindest condescension I’ve ever encountered - artful, even.
She expressed that the staff was busy and I should’ve asked if I needed more coffee. I retorted I’ve never had to ask before, wherein she said “well, I don’t know what to tell you. I’ve already said I’m sorry” or words to that effect and briskly walked away.
I felt unwelcome - I don’t have to patronize this place and her attitude gave me reason to never return. I’m sure my, roughly, $200/mo will be enjoyed at another establishment where I don’t have to chase anyone down for coffee whilst sitting right in...
Read moreAwesome food. Very spotty customer service. Some of the waitresses are an absolute delight to have as help. On the inverse of that, some of the less customer service acclimated employees absolutely lose their cool and throw all hints of politeness and courtesy out the window whenever they get busy.
If I approach the counter after another employee instructed me to do so in order to pay for my order, and the employee at the counter rudely asks “Can I help you?!?” As if she’s too busy and I’m interrupting her. If you’re an employee at a store and a customer approaches you, obviously you can help me. The question is “HOW”. Management should definitely do a crash course on speaking to customers during business hours, locals know some of the girls need it.
As someone who regularly eats here and tips every time, today was my first time not tipping due to an employee acting as if they’re too busy for my business or too busy to say “hello, how are you today?” Won’t be tipping until the customer service improves overall. Weakest link ruins the...
Read moreI used to adore coming here over the years with my grandma. The staff used to be super friendly and the food magnificent, it had been my favorite atmosphere do to the 50s style decor marking the walls. This past few weeks though? Not so much. The food is still okay but the staff? Oml I don’t ever wanna go back in there again. There has been no proper greeting, I’ve been ignored multiple times sitting and waiting, most of the waitresses barely wear a smile and I have witnessed them rolling their eyes and being rude to other customers, and to top that the manger feels comfortable enough to talk with someone across the store about their personal life where everyone could here! My work will have to bring me back but I won’t be...
