Kroner & Baer- Wood Fired Pizza & Bar — Restaurant in Tahlequah

Want to give a huge shout out to Kroner & Baer Pub for PHENOMENAL service at our rehearsal dinner this past weekend. The original plan was for it to be on the patio at the pub, but strong storms and a chance for severe weather changed that. Without being asked, the owner, Chris, came up with a Plan B and made all of the arrangements to move it inside to a venue across the street. He had a full bar available complete with a couple of beers (including the most delicious hard cider) on tap. He even brought some of their yard games over, which was a huge hit and kept our guests entertained. The food was awesome and all of the wait staff was absolutely amazing! Michael and Katy, along with the rest of the crew (those were the two we got their names) were so personable, professional, attentive, and accommodating. Michael even let us keep his phone hooked to the PA system because we loved his Spotify playlist so much. We couldn’t have chosen a better group of folks to cater the event. Best bar in town. Hands down. This building has housed several different things over the years, including an amazing Greek Restaurant that didn't make it. It was renovated and turned into the bar that lives there now. Since then, additions and upgraded are constantly being made. Paint, fencing, patio, patio cover, fireplace, live music, good food, humidor with cigars, and other things keep getting added. Literally, every year something new is added and it's a constantly evolving aesthetic. The staff are great too. As I walked in with our family some guy said this is a bar, it’s not for kids. I told him not according to the fact that it says for families and is a pub. Had to sit outside to accommodate our family. There was no interior family seating since it was all high top. There were other people there with kids seeing as it was 6 pm. I don’t think the food was in the least bit tasty. Chicken was cooked in bad grease, pizza was blah, fries were so salty they hurt your mouth, sandwich bread was literally burnt black, and the mozzarella sticks were frozen ones you buy at Walmart.
