My wife and I decided we wanted an Italian dinner but didn't want to go to the restaurant. We ordered our food online and it was delivered by Doordash. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip which was very good. Our main course was veal parmigiana. When I opened the bag containing the food I noticed a little watery reddish brown liquid coming from the containers with the veal. I attributed it to the sauce. I could not have been further from the truth. I opened the container and cut a piece of veal and chewed it only to discover it was raw. Completely raw. I spit out what I had in my mouth and checked the other container. Same thing. Raw veal. I called Pasti Grill and explained what happened. The lady who answered the phone was very apologetic and offered to bring two more dishes. Twenty minutes later she arrived. I checked the veal and it, too, was raw. I showed her the veal and again, she was very apologetic. I demanded a refund. She took back the one dish and I threw the rest away. Later on, I received a phone call from a different lady apologizing for what happened and informed me I would be getting my refund.
I cannot recommend a restaurant that serves raw food. I don't know what happened or how it happened and it doesn't matter. The fact that they would blatantly serve raw food tells me to stay away.
I will give the two ladies credit. They did do their best to resolve the issue. However, I cannot trust the cook. I refuse to call whoever is working in the kitchen at the stoves and ovens a chef because a chef would not allow...
Read moreBelow is my first review of this restaurant. However, I've changed it to 1 star, as tonight I was refused service because I wanted to drink water out of my own filtered water bottle. Way to lose a customer over a glass of water. Nice work. It's okay, I am enjoying my gluten-free pizza at Napoli's instead, and they have no issues with me drinking out of my filtered water bottle.
"Despite the food being under seasoned, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal because Angel was such a competent and caring server. She's an excellent communicator and was able to intuit the level of service we expected. We had GF pizza margarita and pesto chicken pizza, both with a ton of cheese. Veal Parm that had a piece of chicken in it, no biggie, but the marinara tasted right out of the can. (A little garlic salt, pepper and red wine reduction would not be wasted on this sauce.) We started the meal with stuffed mushrooms that desperately needed salt and the Gyro Salad, which was delicious! Our guests had pasta primavera with chicken in marinara, a child's pepperoni pizza, and a huge calzone, plus cheese sticks. Aside from the cheese sticks being meh, no complaints. And Big Boy said the kids pizza was the best pizza in the world. So there's that. We will be back. Oh yeah, and thank you for having gluten-free...
Read moreThe waitress was very friendly and kept our drinks full without us hardly noticing. The food was baked fresh and delicious. The bread that comes with the table/meal is delicious as well.
I got the [insert my lack of word defining a dish containing ground veal/spinach stuffed manicotti with mozz and marinara] that was on special on a Friday. It was a bit simpler than I was expecting, and needed to be baked just a bit toastier. A bit less sauce and a little more toasted mozzarella on top. 7/10 (no complaints!)
Another person in my party ordered the Chicken Marsala - and it was devine and quote "just like they remembered it probably 15 years ago". I recommend this as well, if you're not sure what to get - it's rich, but wow! 10/10
Another in our party ordered the Chicken Parm and rates it a 9/10. Suggested less heat (spice) 🙂
Excellent relaxed atmosphere and authentic Italian dining experience in Tahlequah. We don't need Olive Garden 🚧....
