I am not sure what to think. About 3 weeks ago my wife and I visited the White Wolf Restaurant with some friends and we had a wonderful time. The service was outstanding and the food was on point. I was so happy that we had a steakhouse so close we didn't have to travel far to get a great meal. Had I written my review then, I would have given this place 5 stars. My sister is visiting from out of state and I wanted to take her there so we could enjoy a great meal. What a disappointment. We were told there would be an hour and a half wait. We waited a half hour and we were seated. That was about the only good thing that happened. Our server came promptly and took our drink orders and our food order. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. I finally got our server's attention and asked how long it took to put together a salad. She made a comment about maybe having to make the salads herself and went away. 5 minutes later, we had salads. another 5 or 10 minutes she brought our food out but there was attitude there. My NY Strip was tough and fatty. My sisters NY strip was not cooked medium well to her liking. We couldn't get our server's attention and had to flag down a lady who appeared to be the manager. She took my sister's steak back and it reappeared 10 minutes later looking like it never was touched. My sister told the manager to take it off the bill because she no longer wanted it. My wife gave my sister half of her steak. Our server, in the meantime, finally came around to check on us and brought more drinks. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. I was debating 3 stars because of the great time we had with our friends but decided on 2 due to the poor service, bad attitude, and food that was not cooked to my...
Read moreWent and had a nice get together with some close friends and family for new years at the restaurant inside the casino. When we arrived the waitress came to the table and half a** greeted us and we asked what a paper that was inside the menu that said the special was and she rudely replied "that's only for our V.I.P. members" The robot brought out our starters and it sat beside our table for 5-10 minutes and finally I had to ask a security guard that was standing near the bar flirting with a server wether we are supposed to get our own food off the cart or if someone else does. After asking that the server she was chatting up and our server we had seen earlier came over and started handing the starters out. It was not busy at all, we were surprised since it was New Year's Eve but it was absolutely crazy how long it took to get our starters, beverages, and entrees. There were issues with our orders. It was definitely not an enjoyable experience this time. We made the best of it and enjoyed each other's company but the meals and service was far from on par for the price that was paid. 😭 Also that robot they use to send the food out almost hit one of us guest 2 different times while sitting in our chairs and it just stopped right beside her within inches of her while she was just sitting in her seat and after about 5 minutes a waitress came by and scooted it out of the way manually. It was definitely a let down as far as the experience...
Read moreUPDATED... As promised I returned to try the steak. They were very accommodating with our group of 9, and even whipped up a rusty nail cocktail on request (look it up, classic but one of my new favorites). Spicy bloody Mary and warm rolls with honey butter was just what I needed to start. 12oz rib eye over crisp onions, with green beans and loaded mashed potatoes was excellent and cooked to perfect medium rare. Tried my wife's salmon and cheddar mashed potatoes with asparagus and was also excellent. For a steak house of this caliber the prices are actually well-suited.
Server went well out of here way, and other staff were very attentive and helpful. Compliments to the chef, a must try.
--------------- previous visit Appreciated that the restaurant was separated from the casino and easy to enter from the parking lot. Sunday brunch menu from 11A-2P also a good thing. Staff was friendly and attentive. General feel was upscale casual.
Bloody Mary was great, as was the chorizo queso app. Rolls were soft and warm. Brisket Benedict was ok but large portion, and pretty heavy with biscuit, brisket, fried green tomato, cheese, egg, and sauce. Tasty but the meat was not as tender as it should have been, and eggs were overcooked. Honestly, was better as a left-over the next morning. Mashed potatoes and asparagus were very good though, as was the fried potatoes.
Will return to...
