Buddies BBQ — Restaurant in Talladega

Our waitress was friendly and the food we got tasted good. My boyfriend said his ribs were tough. There was a long wait and there didnt seem to be great communication between the staff. The manager? (Black short hair) was verbally scolding an employee for mixing up orders from behind the counter. The waitress was at a table. It was uncomfortable for us and the staff. They were out of pulled pork and fries so I ordered a cheese burger basket with potato salad. I didnt not get told they were out of potato salad also until the burger was being brought to the table. My boyfriend did not get his baked potato. When he asked for it, he was told they were out of baked potatoes. He asked for a sub of onion rings which they ended up being out of as well. There were call-in orders sitting and waiting for their orders to be filled. Some were being told they needed to pick a sub or had been given the wrong food all together. The staff said they had a big catering event that day but I feel like they should have either refused to cater or closed the resturant (at least early) because they could not handle the load. We did not get the full discount for the potato (it was only a dollar difference) and were offered no compensation for the constant mishaps. We spent $65 total. First experience and we will...

why I haven't eaten here before ,i can't understand,now that I've gone!we ordered fried gizzards & pintos and aJumbo bbq sandwich with mac n cheese,SO GOOOOOOD,THE HOT HONEY SAUCE AND THE TANGY MUSTARD BBQ TASTED GREAT.THE STAFF HERE WAS WORKING WHEN I WALKED IN BUT STOPPED TO SPEAK AND SMILED CARRIED ON GREAT CONVERSATION.They actually made me feel like I'd known them as friends for years.they were light hearted and informative about options of food and specials ...If you haven't been here try it ...they serve specials like fried chicken gizzards & livers ,but on certain days they post on fb the have fried chitterlings(in the south , we call 'em chitlin' plates).they serve a wide variety of sides and sauces..everyone coming in and picking up food or dining in was hungry and happy with their food..This lil quaint restaurant has soul food for the stomach and heart.I'll be back ...Kindness and humor go a long way these days . wish id gotten the names The 3 ladies I talked with ,they deserve props ,as well as the cooks,who did their...

Ate here once. They didn't have any of the food they advertised, that I came there for. Settled on another meal they did have and it's was ok. Kinda bland. It happens I guess. But I never went back because I followed them on social media and It's like Junior high drama on there. It's very off putting. There are a had full of post about things they do in the community to help others, then food specials and then drama. Then they will make post and they take them down because " it was laid on their heart" to take it down.. The city has enough drama, I don't need it from a local establishment. If they would stick to a regular menu and Excel at the items they have , instead of adding new stuff weekly or bi weekly, and stay off Facebook with non food related stuff, then they might actually have longevity. It's not just me, I know at least 10 people in the city who won't go back for some of the same reasons. That adds up. All the money going to your competitors because of lack of availability of food...
