China Buffet Talladega — Restaurant in Talladega

Went to the Chinese buffet in Talladega tonight. Costwise it was reasonable at 10.99. Food wise it was okay, not the best I've had but not the worst. They had a good selection but some of the food, especially the fried food, was overcooked. I was able to pick out the shrimp and chicken that was cooked correctly and it was actually really good. The sweet and sour sauce, which is usually watered down at buffet's, was really good. Their general's chicken was extremely lacking. Probably the worst thing there. Have been there couple times food for what I eat was ok. Terrible experience was accused of wasting because I don’t eat bread off fried shrimp. I assumed I didn’t clean the bones on chicken. Mussels was completely open and black but the ones I could eat I did . Had a server from the back come to table and examined our food. It upset my granddaughter till I offered to pay again total price for food. I don’t like for servers to come from restrooms and go straight to food and stir. Server with phone in her hand but constantly stirring food. Will never expose my granddaughter to that level of embarrassment again. And we would advertise the restaurant live on Facebook. Never...

So the service was ok. Had to pay before eating. Went on Saturday at 12:30pm and had to pay dinner prices. That's normal. But this buffet was 4 small island. The small islands you would see at a real buffet place. Drinks were in included and for 2 people cost little less then $30. The food was...yea. I'd never seen red chicken on a stick or water hot sauce for the hot wings to sit in. But anyways. For the price I'd never go back. And I'd have to be desperate and in a real mood to wanna go at lunch. 3 stars for service and cleanness(even though it's plastic silverware) food gets 3 star cause it wasn't bad but not good.
