The manger Tim is very rude. I experienced very poor customer service there this morning. I bought my son a bottomless mug for Christmas. I have bought one for the past 5 years. This is an expensive investment in future visits to Bruegger's. On our way out the door, I could not find the top and it was time to leave. When we made our purchase, Tim wasn't even the one helping us. My son asked if he could also get a courtesy coffee as he did not have the bottomless mug. He was going to say "I can understand if you can't" when Tim butted in and cited "rules," It has always been my experience with the location on Thomasville Rd. that on the odd occasions that forgot my awesome mug, they would kindly allow me a complementary coffee with my bagel purchase. I told him this and and he still declined. While I understand that he did not know me as a regular customer at that location, it was only after we were in the car that my son told me that HE had been there often with his bottomless mug, even as recently as yesterday. Tim knew he had a bottomless mug, but preferred to cite rules, rather than allow a customer to get their coffee anyway, even if it's home soaking i the dishwaher, as long as they know they are a bottomless mug owner. He told me that Tim is always rude to him, never smiling, never pleasant and it was no surprise to him that I he refused to admit he knew him from yesterday morning. My son remembered his name from his name tag, yet he acted like he was a totally unknown customer. So Bruegger's extracted the cost of a cup of coffee this morning, but in the long run lost a customer. I will NOT be buying another costly bottomless mug and will stay clear of the N. Monroe location due to the rigid, unfriendly demeanor of Mr. Tim. (I know the tag is an option instead of the mug, but again, this was a Christmas gift and it really is a nice stainless steel mug that keeps the coffee hot for a long time. I felt good about giving it as a gift at the time, but not at all...
Read moreDuring my initial visit to the Tallahassee, FL location at 3122 Mahan Dr, I had an extremely disappointing encounter with the level of customer service. It's disheartening when the company employs young individuals who do not prioritize customer satisfaction, as it reflects poorly on the business as a whole. Upon entering, I surveyed the menu without receiving any acknowledgement from the four Caucasian employees present, consisting of one male and three female staff members. Despite waiting for a mere two minutes, no one greeted me or indicated that they would assist me shortly. To my surprise, one of the female employees made direct eye contact with me but chose to walk away.
I then proceeded to approach the counter, assuming that it was the appropriate location to place my order. However, when I informed the cashier of my lack of interaction with the staff, he inquired about my order and addressed the issue. Interestingly, when a Caucasian male customer entered the establishment, the staff promptly attended to him, taking his order immediately. This stark contrast left me feeling upset and on the brink of leaving. However, the cashier at the counter eventually took my order, displaying a courteous and apologetic attitude for the earlier mishap. He even extended an offer of a complimentary coffee as a gesture of goodwill.
The incident highlights the unfortunate prevalence of racism and discrimination that persists in our country in 2023. As an African American woman entering a place of business with the intention of spending my money, the treatment I experienced is entirely unacceptable. It underscores the necessity for Bruegger's Bagels to invest time and effort in training their employees about the essence of customer service, as well as the significance of treating all individuals with respect...
Read moreI would like to respond to the young lady from this morning at Bruegger's Bagels on North Monroe and The Cracked Egg conversation between my coworker and I. I will up front say most importantly I apologize for the misunderstanding of the conversation especially because I just prepared your food. As I showed you this morning my gloves were cleaned when I realized what your thoughts were because of you overhearing his comment to me and I also offered to remake it for you because I did not want you having any doubt. My gloves were very clean I had nothing on my gloves from the eggs the eggs their self were cleaned when I cracked them I did not get anything on my gloves and if I had I would have changed them that is called cross-contamination and I am not just a experience food serviceman I am also certified in safety and the health field. I do know that that is called cross-contamination and that might would make you ill I would not do that. It was a misunderstanding of what his concerns were about the cracked eggs because it wasn't because he thought I got yoke or raw eggs on my gloves and then handled your food. I knew that at the time when I realized what was happening I had to just keep that to myself and I explained to you that I would gladly remake it because I did not want you leaving with or having any bad feelings or thinking that this is how I would operate our business. Your safety and everyone else does matter. I go above and beyond to make sure that I am professional and that would be again why I gladly showed you my gloves and explained I would gladly make it again because of your concerns and they were not what his concerns were it was a misunderstanding it just could not be talked about right then on the spot because it was not accurate and the fact that you were in doubt...
