Lucky Goat Coffee — Restaurant in Tallahassee

A local coffee shop, Lucky Goat offers absolutely incredible coffee that we, as mere citizens of Tallahassee, are not worthy of. The coffee is what all of your caffeine withdrawals have actually been calling for. The cold brew is all that my heart has ever truly wanted, and you can also ask for the cold brew of the day for the same price with lovely, exciting flavors. Their snowflake crunch hurts my heart that it is only available during the winter months. For the new coffee drinker, Lucky Goat offers a handy board demonstrating what exactly the different names for these beverages actually entails; which I can only wish I had had when I was blindly ordering macchiatos or red eyes in my past only to be confused and frightened by my beverages. This Lucky Goat is conveniently located on Monroe Street and has a very modern feel to it. There are various seating options including couches with succulents nearby, both table and bar seating, a patio out front, and a covered patio in the back. Overall, I do not know what I did in this life to deserve Lucky Goat coffee; but I am grateful that it has blessed my life. I am even more astounded that this second location has opened so near to me and that I may spread the joy of Lucky Goat coffee through online reviews as well as by bringing my loved ones to bask in this...

My husband and I travel full time in our RV and like to purchase locally roasted coffees along our travels. We went to Lucky Goat specifically for whole bean coffee and decided on the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe-Adado which is said to have notes of chocolate, blackberry, strawberry and toffee. Wow! They are right on the money with the flavor notes. As I opened the bag to grind some beans, a rush of aroma came from it and filled the air. Yup, I smell chocolate and berries. I made some cold brew for the next day and when I tasted it, yup, hints of chocolate and berries. Now, the flavors are not so heavy and overpowering so it’s doesn’t taste like coffee, but there are distinct yet subtle flavor notes that make this coffee most delightful. There are two outdoor seating areas. One at either the north or south entrances.

Darker interior and atmosphere than the other Lucky Goat at 668 Capital Cir NE, Tallahassee, FL 32301, but nice nonetheless.

Also, the layout isn’t as spacious as the aforementioned location.

I tried the Tallyccino but it wasn’t as sweet as one I had before, once again, from the Capital Cir NE location.

That was a little disappointing because it wasn’t consistent with my previous experience.

In spite of that I still would recommend this coffee shop.

It can get overcrowded for my preference during the later part of the morning, but that can be simply solved by arriving closer to opening time.
