This place is really chill and all of the drinks I've had so far are delicious albeit expensive. I usually come here once in a while to get a small treat and work on homework. I was pretty disappointed though last time I came here mid-February to get a Blatantly Obvious (usually a ~$6.50 drink) and it ended up being over $9 ($11 after tip.) I figured, everything is more expensive nowadays, and I will just have to cut back (like with everything else). However, when I walked to my seat I realized the drink was still up on the menu as $6.50. I went back to ask the bartender and his answer was a super dismissive "oh, I don't know how to ring it up to $6.50, I just ring it up differently, oops" and no offer to refund the difference or make it right. It's a menu item with a listed price, and this dude has most definitely been working there for at least a year, so this experience didn't quite sit right with me. I used to work retail/serving and know how it is, but if I had overcharged a customer, my manager would have refunded the difference without question. The experience was honestly kind of upsetting, even though it was only about a $3 difference. I hate writing reviews like this and honestly would have just filed a claim on my card but I paid in cash and wasn't offered a receipt. I know this happened a while ago but every time I think about coming back to ology I get annoyed when I...
Read moreGreat amazing place to relax. Amazing vibes and it's right in the heart of midtown. I refuse to leave a 5 star review based on pricing and personal preferences. I will continue to drink their extremely overpriced beer because I like to support my local breweries and they make some fine IPA's. Since they pay $1 per can for canning I understand there will be a higher cost per beer. But today was my first time trying their coffee. I tried 2 different things. Some crazy house blend that was very fruity and juicy for a coffee and a 4 shot macchiato with extra foam. Just like every local coffee company here and Tallahassee; little to no foam...... Super disappointing when you go to a place that goes the extra mile for every drink except a normal coffee beverage...... How hard is it to just froth more milk? I will not return to ology for coffee or their beer since I get my beer from the local stores anyways. It was a fun experience but I'm just gonna stick to Starbucks where I spend $7 for 2 cups of coffee versus $15 here for 2..... Maybe I'll level out and give this place another shot in the future, but for now I'm gonna...
Read moreI would normally have given this location 5 stars but our experience today was so bad and rude that I will probably not go to the Midtown location again. I frequent the North Ology regulary both for coffee and cocktails and buy tea, coffee and liquor there.
We went to the Midtown location today, a Saturday, a little after 2 pm. I had never seen the guy at the register before and have only had good experiences at this location so I was shocked when he told me the coffee machines were closed and they were not serving coffee. I said that I had gotten coffee at the North Ology in the afternoon and had seen people get coffee in the evenings, the guy said, "That's a bigger place." ?? What does that have to do with serving coffee? The other person working looked surprised that we were being turned away. The guy did not ask us if he could help us with anything else so we did not buy coffee liquor as planned or ask about the bourbon.
There were customers there but no one else in line and they were not extremely busy. I was amazed at the rudeness of...
