Chick fil A is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. As a college student and grad student, this was my fast food/study food/hang out with my friends food of choice. I recently tried to dine at Chick-fil-A on Capital Circle and had TWO unsatisfactory experiences.
The first was in the middle of lunch rush hour. Their service was just terrible. The average time for a car to order was 6-8 minutes. I've made better time in a Wendy's drive thru and they seriously suck. After waiting through 3 cars and 15-20 minutes I left the drive thru line. Note: at a different Chick fil A location in Tallahassee I was through (at lunch, at a location just as busy) within 10 minutes.
So, because I just love Chick fil A so much, I was determined to get my fix and went back after the rush hour the very next day. I only had to wait behind one car, and then was right up to the window. I order. The woman taking my order tells me "Sorry, our fryer is out, so we can't give you any fries." CAN'T GIVE ME ANY FRIES?! Are you serious, Chick fil A? What kind of fast food restaurant doesn't have more than one fryer in cases such as this? Or at least offer me some sort of consolidation for the inconvenience?
I love Chick fil A for their good food AND their reliability. This particular Chick fil A let me down on both fronts. I will not be going back to this location, and am extremely disappointed that this is the Chick fil A closest to my house. Also, this Chick fil A is in one of the most prime locations in Tallahassee. The Chick fil A franchise should be ashamed that such a prominent and centralized restaurant is doling out this...
Read moreFull disclosure: I've never been a fan of Chick-fil-A and still don't understand what the hype is.
I stopped here after work one day to grab a quick bite to eat before heading home. Typical of Chick-fil-A, it was pretty packed. I ordered, handed them my gift cards, and that's when the problems started.
Apparently, one of my gift cards wasn't working, so they tried to punch it in manually. That wasn't working, so they had to use a different register. Each time they did this, they needed to re-enter each one of my cards, and it took two staff members to figure this out. It was a mess.
When they finally got everything to work, my food wasn't even ready. Meanwhile, people that came in 10 minutes after me were getting their food handed to them. They had been messing around with the cards for nearly 20 minutes, and they didn't even have the food ready, even though they knew what I was going to order the whole time.
In the end, I was in there for nearly 30 minutes. I understand that problems can occur, and it's not always the staff's fault, but that doesn't make the experience I had any better. Swiftly resolving issues is important, and they miserably failed at this.
Later that day, I got an e-mail from them offering me a free treat. I give them credit for understanding they messed up, but after this experience, I am even less inclined to visit a Chick-fil-A...
Read moreWorst chick-fil-a my husband and I have ever been to. First of all, it is almost impossible to get into the parking lot at lunch time because the drive-thru line goes all the way out into the busiest street of Tallahassee. If you want to go inside for a carry out order, the traffic in the parking lot is so bad you can’t even park, even though there are plenty of spots available. When we got inside the restaurant, there were 5 registers open, all with disinterested workers (who weren’t doing anything else) not taking any orders. We were third in line out of 3 people inside the restaurant . By the time someone decided they would finally take our order, the line was to the door due to the inefficiency and incompetency of the workers. The cashier was messing up simple drink orders while completely distracted by a casual conversation with someone else while taking our order. The wait for the food was horrendous, and would have been completely unacceptable at any other chick-fil-a. No apologies and no recognition of terrible service from the employees or manager. We are chick-fil-a superfans, and we will never return to this particular restaurant. We will happily take our business elsewhere. This restaurant is far from up-to-par with a typical chick-fil-a...
