Overall, this was a decent hotel. Pros: The room was super spacious. I like that the work desk was separated from the beds. It had its own separate space away from everything, which was nice because I was working online during my trip. There was also a couch, two queen beds, and lots of cabinet space. It was nice that there was a full sized refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a stove. A toaster and coffee pot can also be provided to the room upon request. The stove took a while to heat up, but it worked pretty well. There was also a microwave and some dressers. The pool is also a nice amenity. It is great for relaxing. The staff were also friendly and gave us the dishes and towels that we needed when requested. I also appreciated that there was a bin to place dirty linens outside the front office. Additionally, I liked that there were garbage cans at the end of each hallway. It was nice because we could take out the trash as frequently as we needed to. Next, I liked that the dining area was separate from the work table. It was nice that there were chairs at the countertop, so I could eat in the kitchen rather than at the work desk. The refrigerator and cabinets were clean as well. Lastly, I liked that a lot of good restaurants were nearby. Cons: My biggest issue is that they lied on their website about amenities. I even called to confirm that there were grills and was told there were grills. I bought meat to grill, and when I returned, I saw no grills. The person at the front desk confirmed that they didn't exist. There are no grills, and there is no picnic area as advertised. Secondly, I didn't like that the staff didn't come all week to clean. We were told that they come biweekly, which I find strange. You can replace your linens with new ones, though. You just have to bring them down to the desk. Third, the bathtub had very obviously not been cleaned. There were marks all over it, and there was also hair. It made me wonder about the cleanliness of the room as a whole, but nothing else looked dirty. Fourth, there were two cockroaches in the bathroom. This wasn't a big issue, though. I didn't see anymore cockroaches all week. I had stayed for 7 days. Fifth, they charge a $100 deposit. I thought this was strange. No other hotel I've stayed at has charged a deposit. I did get it back right away after checkout, however. They also charged me the bill up front instead of after the stay. I prefer to be to be charged after. These are minor things, though. Sixth, the pots and plates are not in the room. You have to go to the front desk to ask for them, and they only give you one plate per person. I've stayed in hotels that provide multiple dishes in the room, such as Home2Suites. The pots also had nonstick coating that was scraped up, so we didn't use those. Next, the breakfast is not really a breakfast. There is oatmeal that you can take and a gross muffin. There is also coffee in the morning, but it's not very good coffee. It doesn't stay out all day, but they provide a coffee pot if requested. Eighth, the fitness center is tiny. It's nice that there is one, at least. It just has an elliptical and a treadmill. Ninth, the refrigerator worked all week, but it started making this dreadful noise by the end of the week. I'm not sure what was wrong with it. Tenth, the elevator was sketchy. It worked for the most part, but it kept opening and closing when I was in it once, so I didn't trust it. Eleventh, some of the keys didn't work while others worked just fine for entering. Twelfth, the pool could have used more outdoor seating. There wasn't much. Lastly, people were SO LOUD at night and running in the hallways. Overall, the stay was decent. I appreciated the size of the room and the fact that I could store food and cook. There are just some things that can be improved.

I was mistaken in choosing this over other properties in the area. They don't provide anything but the bare minimum. They blame covid for no pool, coffee station, or any sort of breakfast. Obviously this helps their bottom line. Two of the reasons I booked weren't available nor was it mentioned on the site I used to pay for my night. How on earth is grab and go breakfast dangerous due to covid? Any other hotel has a spot to grab a wrapped muffin on the way out. The worst is their BS sneaky pet policy. Zero mention on priceline or Google that its $25 for one dog for one night. It was on a tiny sign to the far left of the desk on a scrunched up piece of paper. Could have stayed in a nicer place for the same cost. Oh, and the kitchens are empty. No coffee maker, glasses, NOTHING. They make the guest request these items. For coffee I would have to go downstairs, ask for a coffee maker, walk back upstairs, and make the coffee. Pretty lazy on their part and inhospitable. Attached is the description from priceline. No info about pet policy costs, no breakfast, or closed pool. Y'all have had a year to update this. Only plus was the clean room with plenty of towels, but many other hotels in the area offer this at the same price.

We needed a place to stay in Tallahassee for an event and chose this hotel since it had 3 beds (2 standard beds and a sleeper sofa). Overall we were pleased, especially with the cleanliness of the lobby and our room. The staff were friendly and we were comfortable for our 2- night stay. There's a full kitchen if you wish to cook and laundry services on site. The gym only contains 2 machines (elliptical and treadmill) which surprised me and there's no significant breakfast to speak of (coffee, granola bars, instant oatmeal and muffins), so I would definitely suggest they look at expanding those aspects of the hotel. The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable and the beds and pillows were a bit soft and worn, so a refresh there would be nice as well. Overall we would stay here again but only if we needed 2 beds and didn't require amenities offered by other big hotel chains.

Most importantly: the room was absolutely spic and span clean. Not a stray hair to be seen, not a spot on any of the bedclothes. It was so nice and tidy, and during my stay I observed an employee cleaning a recently vacated room while I was using the fitness area. After watching them come and go throughout the cleaning process, I must say their dedication to cleanliness is fantastic. Nothing is overlooked, nothing is "good enough for one more use." Linens were changed, vacuuming was thoroughly completed, surfaces were wiped and time was spent making sure the next guest would walk into a clean room. This location was such a treat on a lengthy trip that included stays at three different hotel brands. Extended Stay was clean, comfortable, quiet, and had exactly what I needed without any interruptions of service (broken equipment, unavailable services, etc). I was able to do laundry at their on-site facility, get in some cardio while my clothes dried, and grab a breakfast snack and a coffee on the way out the door. The furniture within the rooms is starting to show some signs of age, but the bedding is soft and comfortable, and honestly I'd take an assurance that things are clean over a sleek and modern but dingy-feeling room. The fitness center is small, but includes two machines in case another guest is using one. Compared to a stay I had before this at a hotel with a giant fitness room yet machines that were all broken, I'll take the smaller one with equipment that is kept in good order. The laundry facility was also well kept, and prices are comparable to finding an off-site coin laundry without the hassle of finding it, driving there, having to stand vigil over machines, etc. Front desk staff were very nice when I needed to change bills for coins, and though I didn't ask because I had some already, I suspect they are able to provide laundry products. The employees were endlessly professional and cordial in all interactions, another welcome change compared to some of my stays at other chains. I missed simple human kindness upon check-in and check-out, and Extended Stay provided that. The absolute only complaint I had--which is NOT with this location, but rather with company policy--is that free wifi can be "upgraded" at cost for better service. Basically, it means that the free wifi doesn't work very well. If I had no data coverage I would not have been able to deal with some last minute travel complications that required submitting online requests to airlines. It's something to be aware of if you need to conduct business and don't want to pay for an upgrade. That said, this location is well placed and well priced. It's in a safe part of town, close to the interstate, lots of food options nearby,...

Due to a tree falling in our house we have been living at the ESA Tallahassee Killearn location for over 2 months now and I want to take a moment to tell everyone how great the staff has been. First of Sabrina is the main girl that cleans all the rooms and she does such a great job. We have two rooms because we wouldn’t fit in just one and our young adult son and his two teenage brothers stay in one and cleaning there room can be a challenge. She does also have another girl that helps her and I apologize I do not remember her name but she is a great help as well. I always am able to get fresh linens and towels from the girls along with anything else and if the see us they always have a big smile and say hi. Shanicia and David work the desk and are always very attentive and have smiles on there face. David has went beyond his job more than once to help us out and it has been very helpful. Managment Diana and Rich always have big smiles and asking if we need anything. If we have issues, which we really haven’t, they always attend to our needs right away. I feel like I may have forgot someone else and if I have know that I am thankful for you as well. All of the staff has made our away from home living situation easier and more bearable. There is coffee and hot water in the mornings along with granola bars or muffins so you can grab and go. They do also have packs of oatmeal and grits you can make. Along with tea and hot chocolate packets. The rooms are spacious and have a full kitchen in them. There is a pool that is always kept clean as well. The location is great because it is close to many restaurants and the interstate. There is a little workout room as well. We will be here another couple months and once we leave I would stay here...
