I've eaten here twice before my visit last night, making it my third. I really wanted to enjoy this place. So, it's really hard to say that I won't be returning after the horrible service I recieved from this business last night! The very first time I tried Huey Magoos I ordered online for pick-up. I arrived at the estimated time it said my order would be ready online just to recieve soggy fries and lukewarm tenders. I didn't mind at the time because I was really hungry and the flavor of the chicken tenders were reallly good. Plus, this was around the time they just opened so there was a wave of people rushing in and employees possibly still training. Completely understandable. What I don't understand is how my second visit was the complete opposite (I ordered inside and the food was hot and fresh), BUT tonight ensured I won't be back despite how tasty those tenders are. I placed an order through the app @8:02pm and the estimated time my order would be ready by was 8:12pm. We drove to the pick-up window early around 8:06pm (to avoid lukewarm food again). The girl at the window told us that the food wasn't ready yet and we had to park in the designated parking for pick-up and they'd bring the food out to us. Alright, perfectly fine. We were early. But as we're waiting I immediately notice there are about 6 employees gathered around the pick-up window eating, dancing, making phone calls and chatting amongst each other. As this was going on, they have a lobby with about 6 people waiting for their order, full with people already dining in and people coming in and out for what I assume delivery/ pick- up so they were pretty busy. Then again it was a Friday night.. Oh, and 1 other car that was already parked in a pick-up space before we pulled beside them. While the employees were carrying on, there was one girl who came from the back and served dine-in customers, while 1 other girl out of the bunch who were gathered by the window served out to-go orders in the lobby along with 1 other girl from the bunch. When they would get pick up orders from the back they'd bag them up and put them on a shelf then continue on with their shenanigans. While we waited, cars swiftly drove through the pick-up lane while I wondered why no one has came out yet. Assuming it's still not ready I began to recieve snarky looks from the bunch like they were wondering why cars were parked in front of them as if we weren't waiting on food that they told us they'd bring to us once ready. It's almost as if their frolicking made them forget about their job they had to do.. It wasn't until their lobby was clear of waiting customers, cars stopped driving through, and a confused look along with a pointed finger towards the pick-up parking where we were STILL parked ALONG with the car we pulled up next to sparked a reminder. Soon after, the same girl who addressed us at the window brought out food for the car next to us and that's when my Dad asked her if my order was ready. She then went back inside grabbed one of the orders that was put on the shelf earlier! Unbelievable! I didn't order much and couldn't figure out why it was taking so long just for it to have already been ready and I left with my food nearing 8:30pm! If there was more focus on customer service compared to entertainment for employees it would've been avoided. I'm extremely disappointed and don't recommend anyone waste...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the service I received tonight. I normally come in and order a buffalo chicken salad with the tenders tossed in Buffalo sauce. This has never been an issue before-in fact, I’ve ordered it many times without a problem.
However, when I tried to place this order tonight, Variah told me it was not something you offer. When I explained that I’ve gotten it several times, instead of helping, she got snobby with me and went to the kitchen to ask someone else, who sided with her. I again stated that I have always been able to get this order, and rather than resolving the situation, she insisted that it’s “never been offered,” which is simply not true.
I should never have to argue or go back and forth with an employee over something I know from personal experience has been done many times before. Read moreMy kids wanted to try Huey Magoos since it was the new restaurant 🙄. To me its just another chicken tender place. But of course I took them to be very disappointed. For this restaurant to be so new it baffles me that it could already have issues with cleanliness and staff. We got a family meal and our food had hair on it. And the staff just wasn't friendly, which I can definitely look past because maybe they just had a bad day but the food is where I draw the line. We lost our appetite all together and ended up throwing the food away. We did take it back and they remade it but at that point I no longer wanted to eat there. The kitchen clearly isn't sanitary or they aren't following proper food handling conditions. They gave me an offer for a free 3 piece tender that I will not be using as I will be contacting my bank...
