Public House is a one of a kind American Bar. Tallahassee is full of these clubs with loud music and flashing lights. They use these as a facade to mask how half ass their staff and venue is. Public House is located in the bottom level of The Strip (for those that have never visited this hidden gem) and is easily the best bar in the compound, and in Tallahassee nonetheless. If you want to be charged double for weak drinks with ungrateful bartenders, feel free to visit Red Rocks or Yiannis. But if you want a bar that feels like home, where everyone knows your name, you'll walk right into Public House. When the boys are back in town, and you want to take em out and show them how we throw down in Tallahassee, Public House is always my go to. Between the pool, the darts, the classic bar architecture, the helpful and grateful staff, and the great selection of beer and whiskey you simply cannot go wrong with Public House. Spent 4 bucks on jukebox, never once played a single song I requested. Wouldn't be a big deal, except that it's the only way you'll hear any music here at all. Blonde female bartender was amazing, friendly, and attentive. Blonde make bartender, had on a white button up shirt, was a real dick. The establishment offered a selection of games, including darts and pool, which was quite appealing. Despite the lack of patrons, the atmosphere remained pleasant and inviting. Fortunately, the live music provided a lively and engaging experience, which helped fill the void. The combination of games and music certainly created a welcoming environment overall.
