I am only giving 3 stars right now because: I ordered the Bulgogi Beef and I was given hibachi steak with Bulgogi sauce. That brought 4 stars down to 3. I called the restaurant asking if they ran out of the Bulgogi beef because of what I was actually given. I was told NO that is the Bulgogi beef. I said no it isn't because I used to work there, I was a manager there so I used to prep the food, cook the food, and eat the food so I KNOW that wasn't Bulgogi beef! That brought 3 stars down to 1 stars. The gal on the phone gave "Ernie" (I think his name was) the phone and he said he would remake the food if I could go back and get it or give me a free meal for another day. I chose to go back. That brought the 1 star back up to 2. My husband drove back to Robotos on Mahan and FaceTime me and showed me what "Ernie" made and OMG, I swear, it was night and day from what the first entree looked like compared to the remake!!! 1st visit to Roboto. Stopped by at 6pm on a Thursday and the place was empty except for three tables. I haven't had (or made any) Korean food in a while so I went with the beef Bulgogi, fried rice and crab puffs (16 bucks with a coke). Food came out pretty quickly, maybe 5-7 minutes but didn't get the crab puffs. After I reminded the gentleman that brought my food, they came out a few minutes later. The Bulgogi tasted like it had only marinated for a few minutes, basically just tasted like beef. Most of it was pretty tender as it should be, so that's good but definitely needs more flavor. The crab puffs were ok, the way they are made leaves a glob at the bottom and the ends overcooked and extra crunchy. Typically the cream cheese filling is so hot you can barely eat them when fresh but these weren't. Crab Rangoon are much better and evenly cooked. As I sat and ate, I watched as 5 or 6 more orders went out and every one of them (whether dine in or carry out), had some kind of issue with it. Most seemed to have an item missing. I am beyond disgusted and displeased with the way my customer service was handled. I order my food and did not check it till I clocked in for work. Which I work 12 hour shifts. When I proceeded to open my food I started eating it and noticed a roach leg in my food! I was beyond shocked and disgusted. So I called Robotos and kindly asked to speak to a manger to tell them what happened and I asked for a refund of my money. The manager proceeded to tell me they don’t have any roaches and that the roach must’ve came from inside my car and into my food. Crazyyy right? Very disrespectful and unprofessional. I will never buy food from them again. Not once did the manager apologies after I told him I have a photo proof of it. He was reluctant to even give me a refund and told me he would make me another plate only if I came back the same day.
