I ordered Chicken and waffles and this is all of the chicken I got. They charge $10.00 for three tiny pieces of chicken. I would get more chicken in a damn Happy Meal.
My husband can’t eat whole grains due to a digestive intolerance. He ordered a sandwich and it was not listed to come on a whole grain bun. He called to request a different kind of bun. The woman on the phone said no that is all that they have. He asked for a refund for just his sandwich. She said no because the food had already left the restaurant. Well yeah we were taking it to go. He also brought up that the type of bun was not listed on the menu. She insisted that it was. He said “I’m on ya’ll’s website right now. It says that the bread is wheat but not whole grain.” The woman said, “we don’t have a website. If someone posted our menu online, it’s not us. The owner is very old school he does not have a website.” He asked for a refund for just his sandwich. The answer was no because they don’t have a website. Ok I understand not having a way to order online, but the year is 2023 not 1993. All businesses should have websites where the customer can clearly see the product and price.
Additionally, we were charged a $10 gratuity for take out. I understand this policy but again it is not listed anywhere except on the door of the restaurant. When we called in the order, we should have been informed of the policy.
Lastly, when he went in person to request the refund, the owner refused. He offered different bread. Why that offer couldn’t have been made over the phone instead of arguing about a nonexistent website, I don’t know. He did not want replacement bread by that time because of the already bad experience over the phone. He just wanted a refund for the sandwich. They refused again.
Just bad food, bad customer service. Poor business practice.
For more context, I just had an emergency c-section 3 days ago. My baby and I were discharged from the hospital yesterday. We don’t have the energy to cook right now. We wanted breakfast food. We opted to try a new restaurant and our friend picked it up for us. This is a terrible experience at The Egg Eatery Cafe. I will never be returning and I will always recommend that anyone try some place that has better food, better customer service, and a website!
I highly recommend Maple Street Biscuit Company. I’ve never had a single issue in the 5 years that I have...

Our very nice server Jordan did an excellent job! We sat in a big huge booth, really comfortable and lots of extra room for a party of four. I got a nice cup of hot tea and they let me choose my tea bag from a box of selections. The mugs are cute and available for purchase. After a few sips I did ask for a pot of hot water and that was promptly delivered.
For my food I got the healthy choice omelet with egg whites, mushrooms, and spinach. I asked for no onions and also requested that the tomatoes to be cooked inside instead of diced on top. Everything came out the way I asked and it was really great!
The side of southern fried potatoes was excellent and generously portioned. I found the potatoes very good, just crispy enough on the outside, and not greasy at all. The English muffin was seriously perfect, best I've had in a long time, plus the butter they have is divine!
My friends ordered Ponce de Leon, "a cream cheese & tomato filled omelette with fresh crabmeat sauteed in garlic butter, topped with melted jack &scallions" She says the crab was delicious! Also, she ordered a side of corned beef hash and noted the style was more heavy on meat not potatoes.
Quiche of the day, it was Greek quiche and very good. Came with potatoes and a choice of fruit or salad (no extra charge). The salad did not come with a dressing but you can ask and then choose from the dressings on the menu.
Matador omelet with chorizo, avocado, green chiles, and jalapenos. Salsa and pepper jack cheese are on top. A side of sour cream was ordered to compliment it. She said she enjoyed it a lot!
A few more notes Open Tuesday - Sunday 7am-2pm Merchandise and baked goods for sale Cute benches outside for waiting, I imagine it gets busy on weekends Lots of space for...
Read moreIf you're wanting a great buzz for breakfast or just to drink your breakfast, this is the place you can be happy the bar is NEVER out of stock, if you're looking to eat food, well you're taking your chances. While my children got what they ordered my wife and I didn't get ours at all. My wife asked to order two items neither which they had, she gave up completely and ended up just drinking her breakfast from the bar. I ordered the corn beef omelet but was given the seafood one....good thing I'm not allergic to seafood but it still wasn't what I ordered and by the time the waitress came back to check, my kids were done eating so I only had the potatoes.....we ordered the beignets but they were tiny in size for the price you pay compared to the picture so we let the kids have them. Lucky they didn't charge me for the mix up. However it still left my wife hungry needing to find somewhere else to eat as well as I. For the prices they charge being out if stock should never happen, you know how busy you are on Sundays and if you have to make it fresh we can understand, but to simply say out of stock unacceptable. Also Brie should be served with croissants not plain toasted bread. If you're going to do something and charge $10 it $11 for it...
