Smoothie King — Restaurant in Tallahassee

Absolutely worst smoothie king I have ever been to!! There is no reason for people to be so rude. I was in the car and I was ordering for 4 people, so we needed a little time to look at the menu ( which I feel like is understandable). I asked them for a second and they were condescendingly rushing me to order . Then when I proceeded to order , I asked for a large drink and one of the workers was like “a large ?!” ( as if they did not want to make that size. ) Then the person taking the order, kept asking “is that all” ( again being condescending and wanting me to finish ordering ) I told her I had 3 more orders and then someone in there said “three??” ( again, not wanting me to order that many things ). So as I was finishing the orders I asked for a medium and the person taking the order said “so you’re good with a small “ ( I clearly said MEDIUM, mind you) Then as I got to the window, she starts to read the order ( she said 1/2 if 1 thing i ordered ) and was like you know what it’s $39 something . EXTREMELY RUDE ! If you do not wish to work at a certain place , or to do the work required when you sign up for something , choose another job . But in the meantime there is no reason to be rude when I was kind to you . I am disappointed and if I could I would give this place...

I've been here three times. Each time, I've placed the identical order, to wit: 1 (One) Acai Adventure (medium), and 1 (One) Caribbean Way (medium). I'm sure there are other great options, but these two are really good, so I'm not quite ready to migrate towards the others just yet. (I always went with the Acai Adventure, and my oldest daughter went with the Caribbean Way.

These two smoothies get you close to 16 bucks. That's real money for a smoothie. They are pricier than other local options.

Nonetheless, they ARE good. Good enough to pass Tropical Smoothie on the way to getting one. (I still like Tropical Smoothie - that wasn't a slight. if anything, it was a commendation on Tropical Smoothie for being reasonably priced for their quality product).

Anyway - I've only been through the drive-through, but peering through the order window, it looks like the folks here are into the whole...

Smoothie lacked any flavor and just tasted like literal ice, with a weird coating after taste. I reached out to the store manager and she told me to come back for another one, any time. This was a nice gesture but unfortunately the re-made smoothie was just as horrible. It ended up being thrown away as it was too difficult to consume through a straw for either having too much ice or not being blended enough. I let the manager know about this (again) and got a reply of thanks for the feedback. Staff has always been kind, but there’s a disconnect in training or quality control.
