Poor Customer service by the 10pm Shift manager who willfully stopped responding to customers at the drive thru completely on Tuesday night, July 16, 2024 at 10:05pm I am a mature black male on his way to work who sat at the drive thru for 10 min. listening to two songs on my Sirius XM radio with no one ahead of me or behind me in line. I finally drove up to the pay window and was totally ignored by employee standing with back facing the window counting $5 bills over and over. Then an irate black female manager ran past the window motioning twice and I read her lips saying, "You just gotta wait we in the middle of a shift change" !! Then she finally opened the window with a bad & unprofessional attitude saying: "We are changing shifts and this employee at the window is new and in training." I told her I waited at the drive thru for minutes and nobody said a thing when I requested service. Finally I placed my order, paid for my food, arrived at work only to find out that dysfunctional manager served me a cup of bitter & unsweetened tea after I specifically asked for sweet tea. I called that Wendy's and asked that dysfunctional manager why did you deliberately give me bitter unsweetened tea after I asked for sweet tea ? She replied "I served whatever comes out of the machine I'm not responsible for what comes out of the machine" , which obviously was a lie. If she took the time to read they serve sweetened and unsweetened tea options, and she deliberately chose the unsweetened tea option after I asked her for sweet tea. Total, deliberate and willful incompetence. I am going to return the entire food order back when I get off work and request a refund. Also I am going to report extremely poor customer service and incompetence as well to whom it may concern about that stressed out & unprofessional shift manager, who in my opinion hates her job at that particular Wendy's location on Capital Circle NW in...
Read moreOh my! I won't come back to go through this again!! It took me 12 minutes to get there and 12 minutes home, but I spent over 25 minutes there! Maybe it gets busy there after 9 pm, but the 5 cars in front of me each took at least 4 minutes before we could move one car length toward the drive-up window.
Once I got there, the 2 drinks and 2 Frostys arrived within a minute. But then I got to watch my 2 bags get filled ever so slowly. A minute for the double stack, a minute for the fries, another minute for the other fries. and then to add injury to insult, the Dave's Double I ordered turned out to be a spicy, fried chicken sandwich. I don't do spicy, I don't do fried; I ordered a double burger!!! And the Frosty was a cup of milk by the time I left Wendy.
I see other reviewers have had my experience (I should have read the reviews while waiting the first 5 minutes.) For some reason, they swiped a lot of good reviews of other restaurants, to keep their point average deceptively high.
Should I have driven the 24 minute round trip to get my sandwich? I don't see myself ever going back there!!! It's nice that Wendy is adopting the slow-food movement, but they should close their drive-up window! I realized after the first car moved up, that I need to turn off my engine every 4 minutes, but others in front of me idled the entire 20+ minutes they were in line. Halloween is still 2 weeks away; why did it feel like Wendy was being a...
Read moreI really truly in my heart of hearts wanted to give this place a higher rating!not simply because I'm redhead, but because, like Dave the founder of Wendy's, I am passionate about adoption! Adoption saved my Life as a baby and the life of my sister is well! I am passionate about this restaurant and its outreach towards foster children, this particular location though, didn't quite live up to those standards! The people are nice and courteous enough, for some reason they kept asking me to repeat what I said sitting that they couldn't hear me. for people who know me, I'm a pretty loud person! But that wasn't even what bothered me! I sat in the Drive-Thru after paying for my food for almost 15 minutes! I kept getting more and more nervous as more and more cars went around me and I haven't even been given a receipt! eventually I got so nervous that I went inside and politely inquired about my food. They told me that they were simply waiting on my fries and that it would be out in a moment. I politely requested a copy of my receipt and took my food and left. pretty disappointed by the whole experience though! Oh and one other thing how long when I got home I found that there were no forks or napkins with my salad and there was a nasty piece of onion in my bag! Kind of a letdown Wendy's! Learn from it and do better...
