On Saturday January 27, 2024, at approximately 5:30pm, my wife and I went to Zaxby’s on Apalachee Parkway, in Tallahassee, FL. We ordered two loaded fries. When we received our order, we noticed that the fries were not fresh. They appeared as if they were previously cooked, then put back into hot grease to reheat them. We asked the gentleman that rung us up if they could give us fresh fries. He said yes. I attempted to give him back the order and he told us to keep it and asked us to pull forward and they will bring out a fresh order shortly. While we were waiting for the fresh loaded fries. My wife picked through the previous order tasting the fries and chicken. She noticed that some of the chicken was not cooked thoroughly and was chewy and pink in the middle. Due to the obvious health concern, we no longer felt safe eating from there. My wife attempted to enter the lobby to inform the staff and to tell them that we would prefer a refund, but the lobby was closed. We wanted to stop them before they completed the remake, so my wife called the store. She explained the situation to an associate, who then reported it to the manager. The manager was very curt and rude. With no greeting nor apology, she said that she would come get our card. When the manager (a Caucasian female with a nose ring) arrived at our vehicle she appeared to be upset. I gave her my card for the refund, she said in a very rude tone “we was about the bring the order out”. I explained to her the situation, then she asked for us to give her the previous order back. I explained that we would like to keep it, because if my wife got sick, we would have evidence of where it came from. The manager then rudely turned and left back for the store. A few moments later, a different associate (a Black girl wearing a head wrap and black letterman styled jacket) returned my card and receipt for the refund. I asked her, what was the name of the previous person that came out and she replied “I can’t give you that” then walked away. Out of the 13 years of coming to Zaxby’s, this has been by far the worst experience. This was bad enough that we no longer want to return. This location has a history of bad customer service, but it appears to be getting worse. Not only that, but customers health is being put at risk. Had they just apologized and took ownership, we would have just gone about our way, but I’m going to let it be known the experience we’ve had. If need be, I have recordings of the event. This location needs to have better training for staff and hold bad customer service...
Read moreI pulled up to this Zaxbys leaving the hospital so I’m not feeling well, I get to the window to place my order the young lady was very rude! I asked for my chicken to be made well done and she responded WHAT? I said what do you mean what? She went off screaming at me telling me she ask people what all day everyday. Me already having a bad day I only asked to speak with a manger due to my foot being broken I couldn’t get out and walk in so I asked that he comes to the speaker. He did and I was explaining to him what happened she got back on the mic and went to screaming at me over him no one had control over her. I at this point became upset to because she replied she didn’t gaf that I was having a bad day and I could come inside and see her. I had corporate on the phone because at this time I didn’t know that this was a franchised store so the entire thing is recorded. The GM was pulling in at the very same time so he asked me to pull to the window he advised me that he was taking her side and was actually about to kick me out of line for cursing. So I’m attempting to explain to him what got me to the point of finally yelling back after sitting at a speaker being yelled at for 5 minutes. He gave me a very blank stare and asked me if I wanted to place an order still. If you guys contact corporate and have this call replayed those calls are of course recorded it’ll verify everything in saying. The last thing someone wants at a place where they are spending their money is BAD SERVICE! If she can’t be controlled while I speak to a manager how am I supposed yo trust that my food will be safe coming out? I hope you guys find some help, someone who actually cares about your business because this is probably the worse customer service I’ve ever experienced in my...
Read moreAfter leaving an online Google review you asked for more details… the link you sent didn’t work… SO - It was a Saturday Sept. 23rd - Gameday for FSU football. Your store on Apalachee Pkwy. just opened for business and we waited at the counter for a several minutes to place our to go order for lunch for my family of four. We were in the store because the online site stated something like 3 or 4 hours until pickup time. Initially I wrote that off to either user error or an internet glitch. But the manager (?) stated NO they can’t handle counter orders or online business that day… “they were under staffed”!
That’s when she asked everyone else who were in line behind us to leave the store and use the drive thru. I could go on but I won’t… bottom line is we drove three miles home to catch kickoff and eat our “cold chicken”. The order wasn’t correct, your soda machine was out of several flavors we wanted and the staff was sub par of what I would expect management’s desire for a good customer experience should be.
I have visited Zaby’s on CCNE many, many times. I do not plan on going back to your store on the Parkway any time soon. I hope this helps…

Zaxby’s on Apalachee Parkway needs a lot of improvement. The service and the attitude of the employees is lacking greatly. And my last and very last visit two weekends ago had the manager clearing out the lobby shortly after opening the store and telling everyone else to go through the drive-through, because they could not handle counter service that day. If that is their standard operating procedures, then I am amazed that the lights are still on and the doors are open...
