Updating my review (7/26/25): we have ordered take out from here so many times and it is always phenomenal! The food is amazing and they take a lot of care to give the food a beautiful presentation. It makes me nervous when I'm driving home because I'm afraid I'll knock over the bag and mess up their art. I was so lucky to order lunch today because they will be closed for the next few weeks while the owners go to Thailand. So, if you're planning to go between now and the end of August, call ahead to see if they are open. I will miss their food while they are away and eagerly look forward to their return!! 😭 The pineapple duck curry will be haunting me in my dreams until then 😋
I ate here with my husband this afternoon (10/29/22) and we had just the best experience! Our server was super attentive and made sure we had anything we might need. Even though he was the only person I saw working the front, he made sure that our drinks were always full. He answered all of our questions with a smile and really made us feel like he cared. Even if he didn't have anything to do, he didn't stand around playing with his phone, he stood at the front and kept an eye out for anyone who might need assistance. It was really refreshing to see someone who clearly cared so much about providing excellent service!
As for the food, we both ordered off the chef specials section of the menu. I had the duck with pineapple curry, my husband had the peanut curry. We asked for medium spice for both of our dishes. Our dishes were beautifully plated when they arrived, I wish I'd taken a picture! But it smelled so wonderful that we both immediately dug in. My duck was crispy and delicious, with a good amount of veggies in the sauce. I was worried the pineapple curry would be too sweet, but it was a perfect balance of sweet and savory and spicy. I really liked that there were both grapes and grape tomatoes in the curry, they each gave a surprising contrast with the sauce and made every bite an adventure. My husband's peanut curry dish was also super tasty, the sauce was rich and peanutty with a nice veg mix including mushrooms. I was jealous of his mushrooms, but they wouldn't have gone as well with my curry as they did with his. I appreciated the thought chef put into building the meals.
All in all, I plan to go back as much as I can and bring as many friends with me as possible. This place is a gem and I hope they'll be around for...
Read moreI had the worst customer service experience at Bahn Thai today. I drove 14 miles from Bradfordville to get a to go order of Pad Thai to go with the special dinner i planning to cook for my wife and I. I was told that the lunch menu was dine in only. NO to go orders. I explained the situation and drive time to the hostess and was still told dine in only. I spoke to the owner, who with a sour face and aggravated tone spat “Dine in only! No take out.” So to fix this silly problem, I said i would dine in. I ate my side salad, and when the Phad Thai came, i stated that the salad filled me up and asked for a box for the Pad Thai. Instant take out! The hostess was snotty because i circumvented policy. The owner was rude a cared less if he could make a customer happy. It was a simple solution to a simple problem, but neither the hostess nor the owner suggested that i could have a seat, get my meal, THEN get a box to go. I have been going to this restaurant for more than 20 years and since Momma Sue sold it… Well, the new owner needs to learn how to keep a loyal customer. He lost one today. And the sad thing is that the Pad Thai was not very good and not worth the trouble. I cooked one of Momma Sue's dishes tonight that is no longer on the menu (Loo) and it was fantastic! The only highlight of a good day turned sour because of extremely poor customer service and poor problem solving skills. I will never go back. It used to be my favorite place in town when Mamma Sue owned it. That woman knew how to please customers, always polite and accommodating. An 80 year old woman who knew how to build relationships and repeat business. She treated everyone like family. The new owner lost me today and could've cared less. It is highly doubtful i will get a response to this post in an attempt to gain back my patronage. Hope they...

tl;dr: Do order it. Order take out if you want it quick.
We stopped by at the end of a long day with travel. We ordered two Pad Thai Chicken, a Sweet and Sour chicken and the Avocado Spring roll, also Thai iced tea, and the Chicken Gyoza. The food was delicious and please note Thai style spring roll and sweet and sour are very different from the Chinese dishes. The spring roll wrapper is translucent and pliable, and the dish more akin to a wrap than a fried appetizer. Sorry about no pics, I was beat and ate then went to bed.
Unfortunately they only had one server working and she informed us that there would be a long wait time for the foods, something like 45 minutes. This was too long for our travel weary kids, so we converted the order to a pick-up/take out and came back after checking into our hotel. Not the server or the business' fault. They are advertising for two full time server positions.
I do recommend Baan Thai for their delicious dishes. If you want an extended dining experience, go in for sit down service. As I tell my kids: if you have to wait for your food, that means they are making it fresh. If you are interested in a quicker situation, order
My father who was raised partially in Thailand told me that an authentic Thai joint will have a picture of the king in it, as opposed to some ppl of another nationality peddling Thai food. As you can see from my pics, both the current and former kings are given prominent places.
The building has good parking, is located along a main drag, and the structure is a few decades old so it has that cool funky layout. The corner booth is a big circular deal with huge windows so a great view.
If you come here looking for a taste of authentic Thai food you will receive it. I would definitely...
