Bake'n Babes To Go — Restaurant in Tampa

We are so disappointed in our past 2 experiences at the Bake'n Babes on Davis Island. The cookies and ice cream are delicious, but, honestly, the rude people that work there and the unwelcoming atmosphere make it not worth it. This last time we were in there, the person assisting us with our order had a scowl on her face and was somewhat condescending towards us. They have a couch in there, and apparently, it's for just a photo-op. Halfway through eating our ice cream inside because it was 90 degrees and raining, she rudely told us there was no eating on the couch. There was another lady in the kitchen who may have been the owner, staring at us through the kitchen door like we were unruly children. We are grown adults who love cookies and ice cream and will definitely be taking our business elsewhere. They are very pricey, and we do not mind paying for quality, but we refuse to pay those high prices and support a horribly run small business. I come here all the time and nia is one of the SWEETEST workers here . Her customer service is phenomenal! She’s knows the whole menu like the back of her hand , very informative and convincing to. I came here for one cookie and ended up leaving with like 4 . The nutella stuffed chocolate chip cookie is the BOMB and dont forget those kids cup with the rainbow sprinkles 🤩. As long as nia and those Nutella cookies are here , you have a customer forever . Last but not least , special shout-out to another worker there sunflower and the owner julie! They are also very welcoming , fast paced and don’t make give me weird looks when I order all those yummy cookies ! Did I mention the place itself is so pretty and pink? I came to this dessert shop for the first time tonight and never again. I came 45 minutes before close and quickly learned my business was not wanted. I wanted to leave before ordering based off the attitude I was given. After feeling guilty for coming in somewhat close to closing, I decided to order the brownie thinking it would be easy for the employees. I was basically thrown my brownie, had I not caught it, it would have slid off the counter. Not too mention I had already tipped generously beacuse I felt bad. As a person who has worked in the food industry I completely understand the frustration of trying to close and still having customers, but never would I treat someone this way or do this 45 minutes prior to closing… not 15 minutes.
