Checkers — Restaurant in Tampa

I drove in checkers on MLK near Florida cancer specialists and ordered a chilli dog and small fry. Was given a total of $4.75 but the cashier asked if I wanted cheese and I replied yes. At the window she said $6.19 and I thought I better look at my receipt when I get it. There was confusion inside because as she held my card out too me she was looking and in conversation with the other workers but she gave me my card closed the window. Another young lady opened the window and advised me to pull around and come back up the opposite drive thru lane. There, a gentleman I assumed was a manager brought a bag and quoted my order as chicken wings which I corrected and he huffed and returned with my correct order. This is when I stated I believe I was charged for someone else's order. The young man was sure that didn't happen so i asked for the receipt which he gave me and I drove off. A few hours later I'm going through emails and a transaction at checkers for $6.19 was charged to my debit card. Wasn't and am not upset but disappointed that my concern was dismissed so easily. I called and left a voicemail message but haven't heard back yet. If I don't then ill make the trip back to that side of town tomorrow to visit personally. Listen to your customers and double check when there is confusion please. Hopefully myself was the only one...

Horrible ! 3 cars in front of us on right side , after order was taken we rolled up to pay and they had order wrong , after it was corrected and payed for ($30.86 ) we was told to drive around and get into left side lane where there was now a total of 6 cars then 2 behind us , after sitting there for almost 20 min , they started bringing out the food which was not in proper order and they where confused on who's food was whos . After getn our food and getn home we sat down to eat and in doing so we realized ( we both ordered the bacon burgers w no lettuce or mayo ) that there was no lettuce all right and no bacon no tomato either . How's a bacon burger a bacon burger with NO BACON ? girl w long brades who was at the window was extremely rude and definitely had no clue what she was doing behind the register . And when we decided to call and complain about our experience we looked in the bag for a recept and there was none of course , if you can't remember to put bacon on a bacon burger then why even bother to remember to give the customers a receipt either . So if you want over priced , incorrectly fixed/cooked food with getto style customer service then this may be the place for you but I still wouldn't recommend this...

Good job crew! To all who was working June 14, 2019(Friday night) I'm very impressed. I ordered the 2 for checker meal and 3 champs by themselves. The Champs were .99 cents via a special they had going. I gotta tell you, those Champ burgers were damn good! The bread is what took the Champs over the top because the bread was fresh and soft. It was not ordinary burger buns. The contents of the Checker burgers were good but the bread had a touch of staleness to it which is why I didn't give the 5th star. As I observed the crew, everyone was handling their business and I received my order in reasonable time considering I was a walk-up. Take note that fast food chains have to preference the drive thru because they are on a timer which goes all the way to corporate. To the manager who was working the night of the above mentioned date, you're doing a great job but see if the crew can keep the bread used for Checker burgers wrapped tighter and you'll get that 5th star. Everything else was on the money. EDIT: As of June 6, 2020 still doing a good job guys and you made the correction I mentioned above....
