Went on Sunday Jan. 28, 2024 for dinner, two of us. We were greeted upon entering and offered seating, and a beverage while we looked at menu. We had wine and a craft beer(on tap), both were excellent. We asked the server about the starters and soups, we were both amazed by how well he knew the items, the ingredients, and suggestions. For our starter we had the pimento and chips, all homemade, excellent. Then we inquired about the soup of the day, again our server gave us a complete description of the ingredients and flavor, it was a tomato soup, not consomme not creamy, but junky and delicious, this we shared and glad we did because just the cup size was quite big. We then asked about his favorites for dinner, again he gave us excellent descriptions of the choices and his recommendations, i swear he must have also been the chef for how well he knew everything. We took his recommendations and ordered the Mussels and the Smash burger, my friend said the mussels were delicious so much i never got to taste them. I had the smash burger and added swiss cheese, it came with fries( delicious fries with superb seasoning). The burger had a combination of meats, it was big and was one of the best burgers i've had. Nothing needed additional seasoning, it was all well executed. I'm sorry to say i can't remember this servers name, except he had blond hair pulled back, thank you for your attention to us. Then a second server came and offered to take our plates and inquired about dessert, he then told us what was available to a tee, and his recommendation, which we took, it was an apple a la mode pastry huge with a caramel topping and ice cream, again home made, enough for the two of us, and again delicious. When we were finished i asked to speak to the manager to tell him of our visit to this restaurant, he was actually the last server we had the one who told us about the desserts. I thanked him for a wonderful night. The only thing i would say is if you don't like football don't attend when a game is on tv, for it can get a bit loud, go before or after the game. The atmosphere is nice and it's a very well appointed restaurant with a bar, and lots of parking. Families with kids came in while we ate and all seemed to enjoy their meals. Well that's it , go to this restaurant for excellent food and attentive service. Thank you to the...
Read moreI don’t leave reviews often and if the service was even close to decent, I wouldn’t be saying anything. The caesar salad was trash. It was some underdressed spinach. If I was a rabbit it might have been good. For the record spinach is not a lettuce, so saying lettuce blend on the menu is false advertising.
Our server was blatantly more attentive to the tables with older folks. Having been a server before myself it was clear she was more concerned with giving service to people she perceived as “good tippers”. I tried to cut her some slack, times are hard, but she was not receptive to my feedback when she asked how everything was (once). I’m not going to force you to take the salad off, but you can’t expect me to reward you for horrible service. The creator of the caesar salad would be ashamed. I am too. Everyone knows caesar salad is romaine. After that it wasn’t even about the $12 pile of spinach, but in the poor response by the server. I’ve been here twice before it was never this bad.
If as a server you are asking how everything is, you should expect the truth. I tried to be as gracious as possible when explaining how I was upset with my meal. Server asked me “so what does that mean” and I said “you asked so I’m telling you I’m disappointed” and she literally walked away. It made me upset because I am not one to complain and she really just shut us down. I came here because before it was fine. Never coming back.
Based on other tables I am very certain we could’ve been served way faster and all in all it added an extra hour because of how slow it was for them to make a couple salads and some fries. She hardly checked in on us except for to see if we wanted to add anything else to our order when we had already been waiting longer than other tables who arrived after us. Being bubbly and fake nice is not going to make up for bad service and a bad meal. I’m not a Karen but the truth is we deserved better. I wish we went somewhere else to start our night. Our drinks weren’t bad, but that’s the only good thing I can say about...
Read more❤️This restaurant is a definite must try!! We stopped in for Brunch on a Sunday and were lucky to get a table. Reservations are very strongly suggested. We ordered Skinny Benny -(smoked salmon, two poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, fresh caper salsa on a bed of arugula with a side of hash browns that I added right to the Skinny Benny). This meal was absolutely delicious and the best combination of pure goodness and more goodness!!!! They nailed it. Everything was cooked perfectly! The hash browns would have been great as a side as well, but in the entree they were phenomenal! Note this is not served on an English Muffin hence the Entree name.
2nd entree chosen was the Short Rib Hash - (braised shredded short ribs, peppers and onions, fingerling potatoes, and poached eggs with chipotle hollandaise sauce). The meat was described as so tender and everything very well seasoned. This is not a large portion so if you think about sharing I would pass on that :). They nailed the execution of this meal as well! Every meal that passed by our table looked incredible. Even the coffee was so remarkable that we asked to see what we were actually drinking (and included a picture in the review)!
The service was excellent! Even with a full restaurant (and patio)the meals came out in under 15 minutes! It was a great experience all the way around and we will definitely return!
Helpful adds…..Parking is easy. Extra parking across the street if smaller lot is full. Restaurant is also kid friendly! Several cocktail options available to accompany meals if you...
