EDGE Rooftop Cocktail Lounge — Restaurant in Tampa

Come for the view, but not much else. Edge is a rooftop bar with a nice atmosphere. There is a good balance of bar seating, comfortable seating, and standing room. But, for an outdoor bar, it was incredibly loud. The people socializing around me were shouting at the top of their lungs to be heard. And that was even before the live saxophonist started playing. The drinks menu is very good with something for everyone, but somewhat overpriced. The food menu is extremely limited and overpriced. Good place if you’re looking for a vibrant atmosphere. Not a great place for conversation or to eat something with your cocktail.

Solo diners: I sat at the bar with my iPad. It got crowded and noisy pretty quickly. The bartender was attentive and responsive to my requests. I got there early enough that I could have sat at a table further away from the bar, which probably would have...

Sooo I stumbled upon the EDGE Rooftop Cocktail Lounge while searching for a COVID-safe rooftop bar to enjoy a drink with a view. The ambiance was relaxing and had a chill vibe to it. I was pleased to find my own table with pretty views. Although the drink selection was good, it was a bit pricey. Nevertheless, I was willing to pay for the ambiance, and the drinks were worth it. They offered a few finger food items, but I ended up dining at the restaurant downstairs. The waitresses were attentive and checked on me frequently. All the staff wore masks, making me feel comfortable. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely return.

I attended this place for the first time, 10/7/2023, with my cousin, and we unfortunately were met with an apparent act of discrimination. We entered the place and sat down at the somewhat busy bar. The bartender nearest to us ignored us the whole time, which we were going to excuse with him being preoccupied, until two white men sat down next to us, and he proceeded to tend to them and take their orders. My cousin and I were in a state of shock and sat down a little longer in hopes that he would serve us next, but he continued to act as if we were not there. We promptly left.
