Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Tampa

They got a issue with not using new gloves when handling food - when I was there, I ordered a bagel (with butter) but the employee who was taking my order didn’t change his gloves after handling the previous customer’s money, so he used the same dirty glove to hand me my bagel. I tried to be nice about it and asked him to switch my bagel to something else and he straight up said “NO. Absolutely not.” That’s where my dad and I was trying to reason with him because it was not a cheap bagel for me to just throw it away and ignore the whole situation. But to my surprised, he still refuse to admit it. Luckily the supervisor or the manager there overheard our conversation, made the announcement to switch out new gloves when handling food, and then asked him switch my bagel. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the supervisor/manager who intervened, I would have given it a 1-star review. If they don’t continually enforce using new gloves when handling food, I’m definitely not gonna eat there again. I ordered the daily special, a bagel with a shmear of cream cheese and a regular coffee for $4.00. This locale is at the USF Health/ Morsani building on the USF campus off of Fletcher Avenue in north Tampa. I chose the "everything" bagel with a smoked salmon cream cheese. They give you a cup to self serve from their coffee bar to the right of the main counter. I chose my normal decaf with cream and 3 Splendas as I' m diabetic. The counter staff was friendly and helpful. The counter is only open at the ordering section where a small glass case allows to choose a bagel type or other baked goods when ordering with the counter person. Most of the rest of the counter area is blocked with graphic boards and lucite windows for protection due to covid and parr of the seating area is also closed. In February 2023, you can't order online or call this restaurant. Phone number doesn't work, and the link to order online doesn't work. Manager is not able to do anything to fix it and the company doesn't care. If you're not happy with anything at this restaurant, there will be no resolution offered. Went back today, 8-16-23 and had a very good experience. Went back today 8-24-23 and had a problem that Agnes took care of for me and my guest.
