I really really wanted to like this place, especially as a late night option. I drive past it every day. It’s only two minutes from my home. I always say to myself I got to stop in and try them out. Well, I finally did. It looks nice for a diner and also has outside seating. Just like a typical diner the menu is massive, which is not a good sign. When the menu is so large, the food usually suffers. But still, I was excited to see all the options. I love variety as long as it tastes good… So with this being my first time here, I decided to order some thing I can easily gauge taste & quality. For me one of those items is Philly cheesesteak, I’ve had cheesesteaks from all over the city, so it’s a good starting point. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak all the way and also a Philly cheesesteak wrap all the way. One with fries and one with potato salad. When I received my ticket to pay, I noticed my bill was higher than it should be. I politely asked the young lady that took my order, what are these extra fees listed on my bill? She swung her arms open, wide, like the statue in Brazil, as if she was resurrecting the dead and asked me what are you confused about in a condescending tone. I asked her what is this convenience fee and what is this non-cash adjustment fee? She turned around as she was walking away and said I don’t make up these fees. I thought to myself, WOW! what a first impression. The attitude was uncalled for, especially as I was polite, very polite actually. I took notice in back of my mind and left it alone. Well, as far as the food goes, it came fairly quickly. There was a decent amount of people inside so I wasn’t worried about time. My steak and cheese came with only onions and green peppers, but I ordered it all the way with everything fully loaded, but at least the cheesesteak wrap had some lettuce. Both sandwiches was extra greasy , I usually don’t mind a little grease, but both sandwiches lacked flavor. So unfortunately, I have to say the sandwiches are 6/10. I also had to add a little season salt to the french fries to help it out. The last thing that put me over the edge to write this review was the freakin potato salad, it was actually sour. I can’t believe they gave me old potato salad. I don’t know if she did that on purpose because I asked about the fees, I can only assume. As a rule I usually give places two chances to F up, before I cut them off permanently. But it’ll be a long time before I give them that second chance…. but if & when I do, I’ll adjust my rating...

I had to stop by this place to give it a try. From the outside it looks a little quirky but don't be fooled. On the inside it has a 50's diner vibe written all over it. This is one of my double hitter places as in I got Dinner one day and because it was so good I went back the next day to for Breakfast. First of all, this place was clean and very cool inside. The Menu was huge with lots of items to choose from. I love the 50's vibe of this place. Seems like a lot of locals eat here and now I know why. For Dinner I got the Ruben which came with Fries, Soup and Cole Slaw. My wife got the Ham Club which came with Fries and Coleslaw. We also ordered an appetizer of Onion Rings. When the Onion Rings came out, they looked amazing, and they were. These were the best Onion Rings that I had since moving down here. My Ruben was very good and had lots of Corn Beef on it. The Fries were golden brown and there were plenty of them. The Soup tasted homemade and was very good as well. The Coleslaw was in a small container, but it was good. My wife's Ham Club was also good and too much for her to finish. Her Fries was just as good as mine. Our waitress Jade was amazing. She answered any questions we had and knew the menu like the back of her hand. When she took our orders, she never wrote anything down. I thought boy, she is going to screw up our orders for sure but no, she had everything that we ordered down perfectly. She checked on us a bunch of times and even held a conversation about living in the area. I really enjoyed that meal and our conversation. For Breakfast I ordered Ham. 2 Eggs, Potatoes and Rye Toast. This meal filled my plate, and I could not eat everything. Tara was my waitress, and she did a fantastic job, I wanted Decaf Coffee as I have heart issues and Tara did not bat an eye about making a pot just for me. She came by a couple times asking if I needed anything. Everything was good and the Ham was thick, and the Eggs and Potatoes were done just the way I liked them. I loved the meals we ate there, and they made us feel like family. All our food was hot and flavorful. They also have an outside Patio to seating if you like. I must give this place a 5 out of 5 stars. You have stop by this quirky little place you won't be sorry.

Read moreSuch a lovely place 🫶 I’ve passed this place several times growing up around this area, I’ve always seen it and wanted to try it, and today was the day. We came at a pretty busy time, so we got our food a bit slower but it was no bother at all, it still came out hot and delicious! Because it was so busy the inside was packed, so we had to sit outside, they have coverings so it wasn’t too terrible, but this is Florida, it’s gonna be hot, so if you’re not good with heat, I’d say avoid coming here during busy times of day (Noon). The road made it a bit loud, but that’s how most places in Tampa are. I LOVED the music they were playing! “Oldies but goodies” if you will. There weren’t any modern pop music which I loved!
The food was yummy, we got breakfast food, so I cannot attest for the lunch/dinner food, but the grits and omelette were very good! My boyfriend said his gravy and biscuits were very good as well as his eggs and potatoes (Homestyle!). The portions are very big. We frequent waffle house, and this place is only a bit more expensive with tastier food + bigger portions (Probably healthier too!). We paid $41 after tip and tax, so not terrible with prices these days (I work at Panera Bread and you’d pay this much there for 2 people and the portions are significantly smaller). I felt like I was eating homemade food, the omelet looked straight out of a grammies kitchen, and I mean that in the best possible way. The breakfast food is worth it to come here!
Our server was definitely busy! All tables inside were full and the outside was pretty filled up too and she told us there were only 2 servers for 20+ tables, So we didn’t get stopped at too often, but she still checked on us when she could, she was very kind! Unfortunately I did not catch her name, but she was working on a Tuesday afternoon! She was sweet and she needs recognition 🫶 20+ tables for only 2 people is pretty hard, and she did great :-)
Overall, you may or may not like this place. The thing is though, you’ll never know if you don’t try it. It could become your new favorite place! Don’t be afraid to try things new, you’ll never find wonderful places like this if...
