I fell in love with this thrift store and I shop often, today I bought over $100 in clothes and I just didn't have a good experience when it came to checkout. The lady at the register noticed a tag missing from a bathing suit and kept insinuating that I took the tag off in the fitting rooms. I literally just picked the bathing suit from the shelf. She said about 3 times " well must have fell off while u were in the fitting rooms but that's so weird the tag isn't on there" I'm sitting there confused. I said idk the bathing suit top and bottom were attached . She said “we never sell our top and bottoms together always separate. Again repeated it 3 separate times like I didn’t hear it the first time. Then she left the security tag on the sunglasses that I paid for so the alarm went off when I walked out the door and I turned around so she could check everything she just rang up. I didn't feel comfortable at all. I was just literally getting some clothes for my vacation so why would you assume I ripped the tag off the cheapest item I had in my basket? All she had to say was hey I don't see the tag on here but this is the price but it took her 20 mins trying to figure out what happened to the tag that was gone before I even picked the item from the shelf. Prob won't be shopping here anymore Update: like I said it took 20 mins for you to find the price for it , and now you have said the bathing suit top and bottom is sold separately for the 4th time. No body is arguing about it not being sold together . I literally do not care whether they are sold together or not. I am annoyed that u assumed I ripped the tag off in the fitting room. There was never an apology in your response, just to repeat your self about what i already heard multiple times . Who are u to assume that the price tag was taken off in the fitting room and not assume that it was missing before I even picked up the item? Like I said I am not doing business with you guys and I’ll let ever one know about the horrible...
Read moreI was an original customer to this store and would go a few times a month. Since the stores opening things unfortunately have only been going downhill, which is sad because this place has so much potential. I am not one to leave reviews but felt it was needed in this case.
Buys used to take a few hours/1 Day, now they’re ranging from 5-6 days. Last month I a took a bin of clean, folded clothes in, waited 5 days to hear back. I went in to finish the buy and was told that none of my clothes could even be looked at because they were not clean. When I asked for more information about how the clothes were not clean, considering they were fresh out of the wash before l took them there, the sales person said she “wasn’t sure what that meant” so I left with my bin of clothes, went to a different consignment shop and sold the same clothes for $30. I just left the store (10/20/22) as I dropped off 2 items to try to sell. A pair of brand new shoes in the box with tags, and a dress shirt unworn, still in the mailing package. Estimated wait time for the 2 items… 5 days. I also listed the items on Facebook market, may the fastest buyer win. The customer service here used to be superb, like some of the best I had ever experienced. As a regular and original customer, I used to be greeted by name when I walked in. I understand that is high expectations, so I obviously do not expect it. However now when I go in, there are usually 3-4 employees behind the counter chatting, who make no effort to communicate or talk to the customer. Almost every time I am there, I have to interrupt their conversation just to check out or ask for assistance. Even if I am standing in the checkout line, I have to flag them down in order to complete my purchase.
Today I spent the remainder of my store credit and unfortunately will not return for some time. I hope things are able to turn around for the store and they are able to make the much...
Read moreBe very cautious when buying “designer” goods from Label Swap. I visited today and asked to see a pair of what I thought to be reasonably priced Golden Goose sneakers in the locked designer case and within seconds I was able to spot they were a bad FAKE. While I’m somewhat of an expert with 10 pairs of my own, a quick google search will show newbies that authentic GGs have a specific stamp under the insole and these were all wrong.
I wasn’t going to share, but then I thought about how devastated I’d be if I was tricked into spending $160 on overpriced knockoffs. Sharing is caring 🫶.
The knockoff geese🪿lead me to believe Label Swap doesn’t authenticate any of their “designer” items. Super sketch when they sell bags and shoes that cost hundreds and even thousands. BUYER BEWARE!
EDITED TO ADD: After reading the review response just now, I called the store hoping to have a productive conversation and possibly resolve the issue in a way that would allow me to update or remove the review. Unfortunately, the manager I spoke with, Marcie, said she had not read the review and that marketing handles all reviews and responses off-site.
As both a buyer and a seller at Label Swap, the store has my contact information on file. If there was a genuine interest in discussing the authentication in good faith, someone could have easily reached out to me directly before issuing a public response that labeled my experience as a “baseless accusation.” That would have been more aligned with the transparency and customer care you mention in your reply.
I want to emphasize that my review was not written out of malice, but out of concern. As someone who owns multiple pairs of authentic Golden Goose sneakers, I immediately spotted red flags with the pair I was shown, and my goal was to help prevent another customer from potentially spending $160 on an item that is...
