I have mixed feelings about leaving a review because other people will want to fish with Jason, which will make it harder for me to schedule a trip with my favorite guide. Jason Prieto and Steady Action fishing charters are the best inshore / back country guides in Tampa Bay. I’m hard on guides and burned through many before finding Jason. I have fished with him for more than 10 years. His boats and tackle are new and top notch. He knows the local waters like the back of his hand and he is not afraid to work to give you your money’s worth. If you want to catch Snook, Reds, Trout, Tarpon, shallow water Grouper and have a great time doing it, he’s your guide.

In addition to getting us on fish, he was incredibly helpful with instruction about where to cast, and how to set our line when fishing different types of fish. He was friendly, patient, and generous in the wisdom that he shared with us. My dad and I had a great day of fishing with him and would gladly do it again.

I have fished with captain Jason on a few occasions. Always had a great time and caught tons of fish. His experience and knowledge of the water is impressive to say the least. I would definitely recommend booking a charter if you want to catch fish in the bay on a bad a**...
