The good: the service was friendly and timely. The rolls were nicely executed. The rice was decent. The place is pleasant. There was free parking. The cons: waiter missed my request for the roll to be inside out. But that is no biggie. My main complaint is there were no rolls that weren’t loaded with ingredients. So if you prefer rolls that are few ingredients you are out of luck. For 2 reasons: in these situations I think you either have to order things which aren’t what you want or order something similar to what you want and subtract ingredients..which seemed to not work out as you might hope as I felt maybe they don’t adjust the fillings remaining to be the great roll those ingredients should end up being. This may have been partly the reason I felt the rice to filling ratio wasn’t great. Anyway, I’d love all sushi menus to still offer ‘unfancy’ rolls along with the fancy. Because that’s what some of us prefer. My favourite roll of all time was an inside out dynamite roll with generous tempura shrimp and avocado with mayo and radish sprouts at Meiji Sushi in Winnipeg Mb Canada. This place has turned out to be the worst restaurant ever in my life. As you can see all my reviews for other businesses, I always gave them more than enough but this restaurant has failed to demand for not even 1 star. I was there by Nov 23rd after the Thanksgiving day when my family has decided to spend times in Tampa during this holiday. Everything went so well as we were planned and we loved St. Petersburg and Tampa area and we have decided to go this restaurant for dinner which turned out to be the worst mistake ever that I have made. As to the attached picture, we ordered various food including Sushi and Korean plates and one of the main dish came out after we had all food completely consumed. So I asked for refund due to delay of food that we were already ready to take off but the owner, called Mimi came to my table and got already upset because I have requested for the refund. She didn't stop there but she talked to the next table and cursed at us and gave away the food to the next table. I wouldn't mind pay this if she ever asked but she was completely rude and no respect!!!. Came here today around 3pm. The place was empty. I certainly didn’t mind because we were seated immediately.

The drink special was written on the board (ginger pear martini). I had to go with that. It was a sour martini but REALLY good.

We ordered some nigiri and some rolls. I judge a sushi spot based on their salmon nigiri (mostly because that’s the one fish that taste different at every sushi restaurant). Salmon nigiri was amazing. Actually, all the nigiri was very good and the size of the pieces of fish were big. We had salmon, tuna, white tuna, and eel. We did the beef sushi roll (beef, cream cheese) and it was the best beef sushi roll I’ve ever had. It was packed with meat ! We went with the deviled roll as well. It had cooked shrimp, jalapeño, and smoked salmon on top. The portion sizes were large and all around the sushi would get five stars.

HOWEVER........ Service was NOT good. Took forever to get our drinks and we didn’t get to order a second because our server never came back to our table.
