Hadn’t been in years to Thai Ruby’s. My husband never had Thai food. We walked in with no one other than the staff. Order placed with the ā€œguy/girlā€ for my pad Thai with shrimp well done. My husband ordered panaag chicken. When I placed my order I asked her to ensure my shrimp is well done. They said ok. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and since no one was as in the restaurant except us again I asked her to ensure the shrimp was well done. (Texture thing for me)

The food came out I shared a shrimp and noodles with my husband before I ate. He said you’re not going to like it as it’s not well done. He was right.

I called the female waitress over she came over with a not nice attitude. Didn’t apologize or nothing. Asked if I wanted her to recook the shrimp I’d picked out of the pad Thai.

ā€œTheyā€ returned with the shrimp looking exactly the same. My husband started to explain to her, I told her no worries very nicely and handed the entire meal back. I explained I’d not pay for it. Still no apology not offering of another item etc. ā€œTheyā€ did march off and said loudly she’s not paying for it! My husband continue to eat his meal and it was very tasty! He enjoyed it and while I was really disappointed as this has always been an idea option in the past!

Not sure why we were šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø treated so coldly the entire time as they both were constantly on their cell phone. We were the only two people in there starting out. (A couple came in) I had to raise my hand and wave to let ā€œthenā€ know we were ready to order and to call her over about the...

My friends forced me to go, I didn't want anything to do with that exotic spicy stuff people talk about... now its my favorite restaurant! The food is incredible and affordable. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are amiable (for the most part). Their unique curry is just out of this world, spicy or not (I prefer mild, they offer all ranges). I tried to replicate their take on curry several times before realizing I was spending as much on ingredients as they were selling it already done, and put my hope in that they stay around as long as I live xD I just had lunch here today (always went for dinner before) and I was out in 15 mins! Not exaggerating, I sat down at 12:05 and had my check by 12:20. Out of the 20 or so times I have been to Thai Ruby over the passed few years (If they were closer it would be significantly higher, 30 mins away from me .

I went there today for dinner. The food was median, however the Fancy Duck ($23) and a small bowl of Tom Yum ($5.95) and Coin Banana ($4.50) which are overpriced. The Fancy Duck was not authentic, it is more like orange chicken from Panda Express with a bunch of vegatables.

We ate there for late Valentine dinner, after we paid and got it the car, the staff (old lady) who collected our check (not out waitress) chased us, aggressivly required us to tips. After I gently explain to her that tiping is disrespectful in our culture, she just replied " But you have to tips". Till this point, I was upset and I told here that tip is optional and we already paid for service fee in our food. She turn her back on us and tell us that we are rude.

I would give negative star if I could, it was very rude and irrational of her and I will never go back.

Reply to "owner": Then pay your staff if you know they are working hard. You know that tip is optional yet still "require" me to tip? Stop blaming the customer for your stinginess. You should pay your staff and train them how to treat the customer, not chasing customers...

We ordered red chicken curry and a yellow chicken curry called Panang curry. Going by the menu, chicken mussamam curry is what we received in place of Panang. The mix-up was not the biggest disappointment by far. First of all, portions were very small. Both meals had 3 - 4 small, thin medallions of chicken. For $15.95 a meal, this was ridiculous! There was more sauce than anything and I certainly wasn’t expecting potatoes in my curry. It had a few potato wedges, lots of onions, and a couple tiny carrot slices. Sauce more like a soup and flavor sub par. We order 2 Thai iced teas with the meal. The cup was filled to the top with ice and almost no tea. The tea tasted more like sugar water than Thai tea. The lid did not fit the cup. It was so loose that it wouldn’t stay on. Again sub par. I traveled a distance to go here because this used to be my daughter’s favorite Thai restaurant. She always raved about this place. Check was over $40 with tip but portion wise not even worth $10 in my opinion. I’m not sure how it gets good ratings. Such a huge disappointment!!!

Yearning for Thai cuisine, I scoured nearby options and stumbled upon Thai Ruby, which boasts stellar reviews. Opting for the ease of a phone order, I dialed in my selections: Thai Spring Rolls, Chicken Red Curry, and Chicken Pad Thai. The pickup time was an efficient 30 minutes. Upon arriving to collect my order, I found the restaurant's ambiance delightful, exuding an authentic Thai vibe. With the order in hand, I eagerly commenced my culinary journey. The Thai Spring Rolls initiated the feast, delivering a delightful crunch and delectable flavor, seemingly fresh out of the oven. Transitioning to the main course, the combination of Pad Thai and Red Chicken Curry proved to be amazing--an exquisite, harmonious blend that made for a perfect dinner. The Thai fare from Thai Ruby exceeded expectations. Each dish was delicious and served piping hot, enhancing the overall dining experience. It was truly a culinary indulgence that left me thoroughly satisfied.

We called in an order, we clearly stated ā€œNo spicy pleaseā€. We grabbed the order and went home. We tried it and was SUPER spicy, the fried rice and the panang to the point where we couldn’t eat it. We asked for a refund since we are leaving to the airport and couldn’t go exchange it and wait 30 mins for new food, they refused. I even offered to drop off the spicy non edible food for a refund they also refused. We wasted $45. Horrible customer service and horrible simple English comprehension. Never going back here again. They think we’re trying to get free food or something. We’re two adults with kids and responsibilities and can’t go back to get a new order due to their own mistake. Your food is untouched and going to the trash thanks. Go learn English please
