Gourmet Guam — Restaurant in Tamuning Municipality

Wow just WOW. I had heard about gourmet Guam through one of my many foodie groups that I'm in on Facebook. I noticed a lot of people had recommended, however there were fairly few reviews of this amazing and delicious, pastry shop.

When my wife and I arrived we were slightly skeptical because it was so small and the location was fairly odd being right underneath Pieology. But as soon we entered we were promptly greeted and welcomed in by the wonderful smells of pastries.

They had a small selection of pastries such as cream puffs, mini cakes and one more thing that's slipped my mind. They also do cakes to order. But the employee offered to let us try a cream puff..... we were blown away. They were absolutely delicious the pastry itself was flakey,buttery and melt in your mouth delicious. The cream filling was plentiful and sweet as any cream puff should be. I had the pistachio and wife had the ube flavor, both were flavorful and delicious. The pistachio had a slight saltiness to it and the ube was sweet but earthy and all around nice.

We then proceeded to buy 6 cream puffs and 5 mini cakes of various size and flavors.

The cakes were gone in 2 days The cream puffs sat for at least 4 in the fridge and did not go bad at all.

I hope to see this small but wonderful pastry shop expand in the near future. Also I hope they develop more of a variety of pastries as well. But what they do make is perfect nothing short of delicious.

Hopefully more people join in on the Gourmet Guam party. I will be back many times in the near...

I called to order a custom cake and the owner, Joe, answered the phone. The line cut off mid sentence & Joe called me back to continue our conversation, which surprised me as most businesses don’t call the customer back when that happens! Our call went smoothly after that—he took my order, clarified exactly what I wanted on the cake multiple times, and made sure everything was up to par. When I picked up my cake, I did want a few adjustments and the man helping me quickly went into the kitchen to have it fixed. He radiated with good energy and was extremely friendly with all the customers as I waited. When I got my cake, the lady there took my payment and we had a good conversation. Such friendly staff, such a shame I didn’t get their names! But our “red velvet oreo” cake was a hit! Everybody wanted seconds & they even said they weren’t usually cake people.. Not only did it look amazing, but it was soft and the perfect balance between frosting and cake. Wasn’t too sweet either, and the red velvet didn’t taste like chocolate slapped in red food coloring lol. All in all, I’m beyond impressed and beyond happy with their food and service. I did try their cream puffs a few years prior and absolutely loved those too. I’m getting hungry just typing this! Would 100% recommend! Thank you Joe, Gourmet...

I love desserts. I normally don’t like cake. Cake donuts, cupcakes, nada. Too dry, too dense, and crumbly. I actually found out about this place because a coworkers spouse brought in a whole bunch of their products to help celebrate their birthday at work! Wow!! That day I drove over there after work and tried one type of flavor I enjoy. None of them disappointed! Their base cake batter is much airier than normal cake. It’s also extremely moist compared to any other cake I’ve had. And the flavors!!! Doesn’t taste artificial,fake, imitation, overly sweet, and doesn’t leave that film in your mouth you get from store bought or commercially made cakes. Definitely worth the cost! You’ll be going back again and again to be sure to try all their flavors! And they do have vegan options, which was pretty good considering all the ingredients you can’t use for this type of dessert.
