Kar Kar Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamuning Municipality

Food is tasty, selection is decent to include dim sum, service is fast. HOWEVER, I was a frequent customer UNTIL the owner adamantly refused to provide me with a refund for a double charge.

I paid via credit card; when I reviewed my monthly statement, I noticed a duplicate charge. Typical procedure is discuss & resolve with the vendor first. When I showed the cashier my original receipt and card statement, she called her boss over. The lady told me that this happened before and the bank needs to refund me because it's their fault. I politely told her that whether it's your cashier or your bank who charged me twice, you shouldn't let me pay for the consequences. She kept arguing that it wasn't her problem. I argued that it wasn't my fault either, and that I didn't appreciate the inconvenience of having to come back to dispute this, nor the way she was yelling at me. She angrily blurted instructions to her cashier in Chinese and walked away. The cashier quickly handed out a cash refund.

It's been well over 3 years. I've never returned to this restaurant, nor have I ever referred them since. There are many other Chinese restaurants that have just as good food with much better appreciation for...

Our party of three waited for almost 40 minutes before our order was supposedly ready! Three other tables of 3-4 customers who came in after we did were served their orders before us! We asked two different female servers to check on our orders. They both said that it was coming. A few minutes later, we asked the owner, May, who had just arrived at the restaurant and was busy bringing food orders to tables, if she could check on our orders. She, also, said that it was coming. Our party decided that enough was enough and that we were left in the back burner! We were treated so unfairly! We got up and left Kar Kar! I saw May trying to call us back, but we were so furious to even pay attention to her! We have only one hour for lunch and we spent 40 minutes waiting for bad service! We've eaten at Kar Kar before and have never experienced this kind of bad service. We will never come back to this...

Food is okay but service the waitresses are friendly. The main issue are the owners. I've eaten at this establishment twice and both times $3-6 are always magically added to my bill. When I ask why my bill is so high they would break down the items I ordered with incorrect pricing. First time stating that the iced tea went up in price, now going for $5. The second time I tried to give the place another try, my bill was higher than anticipated again. I didn't order the tea this time around due to the ridiculous price from last time.
