Short Review: Absolutely worth every penny! Friendly and thoughtful staff! Delicious and filling food!
Long Review: I was a bit scared that I wouldn't be able to order take-out from them since their Instagram says that they operate on a first-come first-serve basis for that. Luckily, they were able to take my order. They gave me an estimated time of 15-20 mins for the order to be ready, and upon arrival, they did take a few minutes longer. But honestly, they did have a rush of orders at the time, so the wait was understandable.
Once my order was done, they explained that they didn't want to pop the egg in one of the bowls, so instead of their usual lids, they used another bowl and tinfoil to cover the top. I appreciate the staff's effort to make sure that take-out food was in just as good quality as anything they serve in-house. One of the eggs did pop, but that was more of the ride back home that did that (lol).
We ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Benny, the Carne Asada Skirt Steak Tacos, the Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the Nippon Fries. This was my husband and I's first time trying out Ta'lu Eats, and we're happy to say that everything was super delicious. In regards to take-out, we're very happy to have gotten such a good experience from this restaurant. If we get the chance to dine in-house, I'm sure that it'll be just as good. Thank you,...
Read moreWe heard about the place and I wanted to check it out with the fam. Our general consensus was that it was alright. The major thing is that our food was either too salty or not salty/savory enough.
For myself, I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos with Nippon Fries. My tacos came showered with cilantro and they were a bit lacking in the taste of the meat. All I really tasted was the bread, and the salsa I had to put on it.
The Nippon Fries were not bad, but it was really really salty and left that feeling in the back of my tongue. It's a really good idea they had with the fries, and the sauces they used reminded me of Takoyaki.
I stole a piece of the pork belly that my dad had lol. Wasn't bad but I expected more considered how much I heard it get hyped up.
It's not a bad place but I really think it would be better if they upped the spice on their tacos & kept a good balance with...
Read moreHad a late lunch with my sister. It was my first time there. I ordered the Tai chicken wings and the salmon lupia and had pork belly tacos. The food came out in to-go containers. I wasn't excited bout the tacos or wings, to be honest, BUT the salmon lupia was on point! The ice tea were refillable. The Tai wings weren't my fave. It was chicken wings with the lupia sauce, and the pork belly was serviced in corn tortillas. My sister order some...
