I had a tremendous catering experience with DeAvila's for my wedding reception. The food was delicious, service was smooth, friendly, and well-paced. This included appetizer service for cocktail hour, salad, entrees, desert, water service, and a coffee station, as well as linens and napkins. We were thrilled with what they provided, and our guests raved about the food and the service.

We were particularly appreciative that we were able to pick up linens earlier in the week and drop off linens and the coffee dispensers in the days after the event. This allowed us to set up the day before (saving us a lot of stress!)and keep our tables and coffee set up through the duration of the night.

Joy DeAvila was a pleasure to work with. She was in constant contact, offered us valuable insight and advice, helped coordinate a service plan for our backyard (and even visited before the event), and suggested options that fit our needs when other reasonable options would have been more lucrative to her.

DeAvila's also went above and beyond in their understanding, patience, and flexibility when COVID derailed our plans. Not once, but twice we were compelled to reschedule, and both times they gracefully agreed, giving us peace of mind and preserving our deposit. They also welcomed our COVID concerns and respected them beautifully,

Growing up in Taunton, MA, DeAvila's was a great little place to go for breakfast. I only found out they did catering when I was researching vendors for our reception. If you want generous portions of delicious homemade food, look nowhere else. A few things about Joy, the owner: your conversations will feel as though you have known each other for years; she will go out of her way to meet your needs; and you will want to adopt her into your family. We chose one of their buffet options, but we customized it quite a bit and were happily accommodated. Joy helped us choose appetizer offerings (we did stationary only), and we opted for a chocolate fountain for dessert. About a year in advance we ordered a sample buffet to enjoy with our immediate family. DeAvila's makes everything they cater fresh to order and therefore do not do tastings. When you find out how most tastings are done (freeze, thaw, repeat) you will be thankful for this experience. We absolutely loved the "test" buffet and couldn't wait for the real thing. At our reception, the food was perfect (Joy made sure that we actually got to eat) and the wait staff were amazing. 100/10 recommend DeAvila’s both for breakfast and for catering! In addition to eating breakfast there almost weekly (SUCH good food, try their sweet bread), we hired them to cater our wedding this weekend. We had to change a significant amount of details/plans for our wedding the DAY BEFORE, and not only were they incredibly accommodating, but were so responsive to our myriad of calls—Joy made us feel so much at ease. They packaged up all the hors d’oeuvres that would have been passed and our fruit/cheese/veggie display and cake/cookies Into to-go recyclable containers for everyone to take home, and our guests raved about the quality of the food and how delicious it was! We also had a la carte trays ordered for an after party, and the amount of food was perfect (SO much), and it was incredibly fresh and delicious.
