G & S Pizzeria and Seafood — Restaurant in Taunton

I’d think twice about ordering from this place. Owner is not professional at all, rude to women and does not care about keeping the kitchen with the minimum amount of cleanliness, it’s a disaster. My business was hired to perform a partial cleaning (I have written prof that he only asked for price of walls and floors in the kitchen), his staff (that were not supposed to be there while we cleaned) dropped A HEAVY GRILL (by accident I assume) my ladies helped him lift it (without training, one of them even hurt her back) and helped clean the mess. He refused to pay extra, then when we were done he refused to pay saying he hired us to do the whole place. I have written proof of what was agreed, We are a 5-star cleaning business on every platform. He then said he had an inspection the next couple of days and he needed to pass (that’s probably why he was freaked out). I told him the place needed at least three times the amount of time he had purchased (remember, he originally only asked for walls and floors). Today I ordered the Fisherman’s platter # 1 meal that is listed on the menu under the “Fresh Seafood” section. Upon opening the box I noticed that the scallops were split and frayed at the edges (usually a sign of poor handling) and didn’t have that sweet aroma that fresh Scallops project. When my boyfriend and I had tasted the scallops we knew immediately by the texture and lack of flavor that they were not fresh and poorly cooked by the mushy breadcrumbs engulfing them. After the letdown we decided that if the showcase item in the dish wasn’t fresh then why risk the rest? We called the restaurant and asked if we could speak to the owner or manager and explained the situation. We were then told that it was impossible that our food wasn’t fresh and that they marinate the fresh scallops in a garlic and olive oil sauce before being fried? We asked if he could refund us and we were told that they would not do so but would instead grant us another dish if we wanted an exchange. First let me get out the way the 3 stars for the atmosphere out the way. This is 1st and foremost a pizza take out only. Any tables is used for storage and preparation of pizza boxes. Not a negative just a fact. If you looking to sit down and eat you will be eating in your car Ok now for the food and service. The best place for hot food take out and amazing amazing quality for a take joint. The selections are truly done with professionalism and care. They take so much pride in everything they make. From simple pizza to amazing dinner meals. Even the fish is fresh. They are so good that even the fries are above average and the salads are large and delicious. My family have never ever had a bad meal from here. The service is also very professional and always with a smile. The owner cares about what they make and how customers are treated. I highly recommend this little off beat pizzeria. Maybe not look like much but they make up for atmosphere in top quality...
