Okeefes is easily the best Irish pub in central Florida. It is a regular for us to visit. I have tried many of the menu items and let me tell you, I would rate everything I’ve eaten here a five star. You’ll see pictured is the corned beef and cabbage, an Irish favorite. The corned beef is plentiful and absolutely perfect. Laid on top of a large chunk of soft and wonderful cabbage. I ordered the colcannon potatoes which are mashed with chunks of bacon, corned beef, and cabbage. The meal was filling and delicious. Also pictured is the French onion soup and loaded potato skins. The soup was as good as French onion soup gets. Absolutely perfect with nice large chunks of onion and lots of cheese. Th potato skins were tasty as well. They have lots of craft beers to pick from but, in years past they have had several Christmas beers to choose from but this year they did not, which was a little disappointing. But I did have a Guinness draft which never disappoints. Btw, one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten was at okeefes. It was a special last Christmas. I just thought I’d bring that up. Our server was fantastic also, allowing me to sample some of their craft beers options before choosing my drink. Okeefes will continue to be my favorite...
Read moreI have not been here in about a decade and I realize now why I haven’t. The food is.. awful. Don’t expect anything unique. However, I thought to myself this would be a great place to go to the bar and grab a drink and some cheese curds or an appetizer… but then then I see that they allowed an actual child to sit at the bar… turns out it was a family member of the owners. Very off putting. Will not be back… I don’t care if you own the place or not but I don’t want to see a child sitting at the bar. I sit at a bar to be away from kids. Not be near them.
UPDATE You know.. I wasn’t even going to go here. But it irritated me. I was kind before.. but your food is terrible. We paid nearly 90$ for instant food I can make myself for a quarter of the price. So my mother and I went here (yeah I am am I am momma’s boy and love my mom) and apparently she forgot her card here when we went (we went Dutch this time) and when she called to see if her card was here (it was) an owner/manager threatened to withhold any further donation to her Elementary school (she’s been in education for 30 years) because I left a bad review. REAL mature. If you can’t take criticism you are in the wrong business. Stay away from this place. Definitely will never...
Read moreTook a Sunday drive out to Tavares from Orlando. After a little sightseeing, we found ourselves a bit hungry and stumbled upon O'Keefe's. Glad we did. Our server greeted us in a timely fashion, and promptly took our drink orders. I'd like to add that when we asked what they had on draft/draught, she rattled off an impressive, extended list without missing a beat. Nice! We ordered the Beer Battered Onion Rings for our appetizer, and the Reuben Sandwich and Battered Fried Haddock -- both with steak fries -- for our entrees. The rings were crispy and delicious with the right amount of flavor mixed in with the batter. The Reuben sandwich was loaded, and I mean loaded with perfectly seasoned corned beef-- a little light on the sauerkraut and thousand island, which suited me just fine -- it allowed the flavor of that delicious corned beef to shine through. The Haddock was firm and delicious. The batter was perfect. The fries were what fries should be. Perfectly cooked and fresh. We both couldn't finish our meals, so we asked for boxes to go. It's a lot of food! A great find. I didn't think the prices were inflated at all. Not considering the quality and portion sizes....
