First I would like to clarify that I worked here for around six months, my mother also worked here for the long part of eight years. Thus I would like to give my opinion and both my experience working here but also my experience eating here and being served while also hoping to have no bias towards the place. First working here has both its upsides and downsides like any real place of employment. The staff here are like a family, and while I was there, I felt the utmost respect and the feeling of being welcomed by many of the team at this establishment. The management while working was very pleasant, however, one of the managers would end up being the reason for my departure from this store. Steve Queen is a very generous and kind manager who cares about the customers at the store more than almost any manager I've ever seen. He cares for his employee's and finally was my recommendation for General Manager after the old GM Mike left. Mariesa Deangelis is another kind-hearted manager here that cares for her employee's and customers at this establishment. Now I would like to discuss the servers here, as an employee they all made me feel like family from my very first day to my last, I will not speak of the old servers that no longer work there as they are gone but if you plan on visiting this restaurant I cannot recommend the following servers enough. Michael who is by far the server that cares for his customers the most, I just recently ate here around a week ago and sat with Michael as I not only missed him but also knew he would make sure my food is perfect. Hattie who will go to the end of the earth to make sure your food is excellent and of top quality. She works the bar in the morning and is by far a fantastic bartender. Pauline who is a very attentive server and always make you feel comfortable here, I would also like to add Destiny as she is a very hard-working server which helps out everybody whenever she can. Read moreGuys, take this into consideration. When going here, no matter what location, they are not a steak house. The steak here will never be how you want it, so don't even bother. The burgers are almost always the same way in that they're never really done how you ask for them. Obviously everyone has their own opinion on the way steak should be cooked, so if you like your steak well done, shriveled up and dry, then come here. If that's not your cup of tea, then come here, complain about the well done and shriveled piece of meat and they will bring you out a piece of meat so raw that you can still hear it chewing it's cud. It's one or the other, people. If you're still not feeling the way they cook it, send it back a second time and then you will be presented by a crispy outside, chewy pink inside and a dark red center. Just an all around hybrid of a steak. A mixture of rare all the way to well done, I don't know how they do it, but it's so impressive that you just have to accept it with a smile, get a to-go container, take it home to the dog, and then throw it away because it's truly not even good enough for the dog to eat. Applebee's is a great place for the family. They have good food ranging from salad, burgers and fries, to pasta, chicken, and ribs. They have great deals and a very happy staff. Today I was served cold cheese with the pub pretzels which are my favorite part, pretty much the reason we ever come back. We sent it back for the cheese being cold and it came out cold again. They comped them off the bill, thanks for that but I'd have preferred them to have been done right. They tried to bring my steak at the same time as my appetizer and salad. I placed my appetizer order with the drink order. Our food order was taken about 20 minutes later. My steak was about 2ounces of pure fat with 6 ounces of steak. It came out medium rare, I sent it back to be cooked slightly longer as I'd ordered medium and about a third was perfect but the rest was almost as tough as a tire. The waitress was polite but we had to wait about 15 minutes for our bill to be corrected. The manager tried to salvage the experience but I was very wary of ordering the steak to begin with and was assured it would be great. It wasn't . my husband ordered ordered a burger cooked medium, they said they only do pink or no pink so he agreed to pink, it didn't come that way. Overall a terrible experience.
