This place is AMAZING. This location has new flavors every day, which means their product is always fresh. The frozen custard is the best custard in the state. It is a silky smooth texture packed with so much flavor. I ordered a 5 layer mango gelati (mango Italian ice and frozen custard layered together), and it was amazing. Definitely a must try for everyone, and I will be returning to try all the flavors of ice. This is my new spot for dessert this spring and summer. My wife ordered a coffee drink, and she is now obsessed. This place was super clean, and the staff was unbelievably friendly and asked if we wanted to try any flavor as soon as we walked in the door. My kids took advantage and tried like 6 flavors each. The customer area is somewhat small, so we sat outside under their umbrella covered tables. We got to enjoy a classic car cruise on Telegraph Rd, and Ritas also had their own outdoor music. They are connected to a Buffalo Wild Wings, which makes it a perfect spot for lunch and dessert. We downloaded the app and got a free item as well.

This is a delightfully new addition to the metro Detroit area! We drove about 15-20 minutes from our home to experience this new location in Taylor. Once we entered, we were greeted with polite positivity and eagerness to serve. Everyone was upbeat and informative of the new products to sample. We loved the 5-layer Gelati, it allowed me to try a couple different custards and mix a couple different shaved ice together for a delicious concoction. I was in love with the black cherry ice, so good! I would highly recommend anyone in the metro Detroit area to go and experience this for yourself, it is not the same ol' ice cream parlor, worth the drive! Thanks Rita's!

Love to have some east coast Rita’s downriver! The flavor rotation is great and will always keep you on your toes. And the owner and staff are so friendly. They are always making recommendations, answering questions, and serving up samples with a smile no matter how long of a line. Will go back all summer long!
