The Loose Screw is hands down my favorite local bar, and for good reason! Tucked inside an old high school, this place has an incredibly unique and cool vibe that sets it apart from any other bar in town. The history and character of the building really shine through, making it a one-of-a-kind spot to relax and have a great time.

What makes The Loose Screw truly special, though, are the owners, Don and Tammy. They are some of the most welcoming and friendly people you’ll ever meet. Whether it’s your first visit or you’re a regular, they treat everyone like family and go out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic experience.

The bar itself is always buzzing with energy, thanks in part to the stage they have, which hosts live music and a variety of events. It’s the perfect place to catch local talent, listen to great tunes, or even participate in some fun themed events. There’s always something happening at The Loose Screw, which keeps things fresh and exciting.

The drink selection is top-notch, with a range of craft beers, there is something for everyone’s taste. The atmosphere is laid-back but lively, and you can tell the community really rallies around this place. The Loose Screw Craft Bar is simply an AWESOME bar. It's located inside the former Taylor High School, in Taylor, Texas. The building was bought by someone that had the fantastic vision to turn the former high school into a mall. They left the student lockers, the signs... but now, there is a really cool bar in it.

The owner is a really cool 😎 guy. He treated our family and friends as if we were old time friends.

There is another section of the bar with couches, pillows, television, nice lighting. You can hang out and drink from the vast selection of crafted beers, and YES, they also have wine. I had a grape fruit beer, and it was delicious!

The bar has a small stage for live music. It also has an window that allows you to buy your drinks from the mall's outside patio. There is a large patio with plenty of seating under the trees. There are also food trucks available on a second patio.

I am a bit afraid that after this review everyone will flock to this bar, making it harder for me to buy my favorite beer, and to find some seating. But, it would be a disservice not to tell everyone. The Loose Screw is a treasure of a place. Go, you won't be...

This is such a great hangout, for both adults and families alike. The indoor taproom has a really cool vibe, with a side room that's a littler quieter. (They even have games for the kiddos in there!)

The outdoor space is the star of the show. There's great live music, a nice selection of food trucks and the Libros Bookmobile, and plenty of green space for kids to run around.

They have a convenient walk up ordering window outside if you don't want to go in, as well. Not to mention giant connect four and other games outside.

The selection of beer is impressive, with well over 30 available. And you have easy access to Big O's ice cream and candy across the hall, as well as the Hangout Pinball Lounge.
