Unlike many here, we’ve had a very positive experience with the owner on both visits. Both times she brought children’s books to our son as he is rambunctious and it’s difficult for a two year old to sit still for a whole meal. We’ve never experienced any attitude or rudeness.
We’ve tried several items on the menu and have most enjoyed all the arepas and cachapas, I would suggest sticking to those rather than venturing out to the full plate options (which are very generous in size, but we’ve felt they lack a bit of flavor).
We have not experienced this restaurant to be dirty at all, in fact both times we have been in they were mopping the floors. The decor and layout may not be on par with concepts that have a lot of capital to invest, but that doesn’t mean it is dirty.
This is a small business owned by a family who has taken the risk to sign a lease, invest in equipment, furniture and fixtures so that they can share a piece of their culture with a customer base from their country and those in the country they live in now. I applaud them for their step to leave a legacy and create, something most individuals would...
Read moreNot only did they get my take out order wrong, with one of the items I paid extra money for being replaced with a cheaper version. But the cashier was also rude when I asked if I could have more sauce to cover a large number of items, something that should not be a problem since the sauce is not limited when you eat at the table. After I had to insist that the tiny container of sauce did not correlate with the number of items that were ordered, I was finally handed one additional small sauce container while the cashier looked visibly annoyed.
This establishment needs to understand that providing a high level of customer service is as important as the quality of the food. I’d love to support this small business but when people are consistently treated in a rude manner, as many people have already stated in the reviews, there’s no other option than to look for other alternatives...
Read moreMy family and I walked in and it smelled heavily of Clorox. I understand keeping your business clean but wow it felt like the inside of my nose was burning. But we thought let’s try it out and maybe the smell of the food will help. Looked over the menu, waitress comes over not very friendly at all very bothered attitude, okay maybe she’s had a long day we understand. We ordered some empanadas, sat for a minute when my mom gasped and said “look” and on the wall would you believe is a cockroach!! 🤮 immediately stood up turned around and told the waitress Um… there’s a cockroach on your wall, we want to cancel our order… the waitress said okay unbothered? Yup, we were there maybe a total of 5 or 7 mins. That’s all we needed to determine this 1 star review and of course the confirmation that we will...
