This is now my favorite place to go for Vietnamese food, and one of the top 10 restaurants I've ever been to! Such a special find for my foodie husband and I.

Pho is incredible (and also available at this restaurant) but Vietnam has a lot more than pho to offer, and we struggled to find alternative dishes in Orem.

We stumbled upon Pho Bien Hoa and decided to take a chance. We asked for recommendations and the friendly staff asked insightful questions to find the right fit for us, then patiently explained how to eat our choices. Every restaurant is having a hard time finding staff so we were impressed by the fantastic and prompt service we received. Serving sizes were great, we left completely full and still had leftovers.

We chose the following and will certainly be back for more:

• Canh Chua Cá (Catfish in Tamarind Broth) This was the biggest win for us! It's a sweet dish (initially) that you bring to a boil. Once it's boiling, you take the catfish out and set it on the accompanying plate with peppers and fish sauce, bringing some spice to the sweet dish. Such a complex flavor! I have a fairly low tolerance for spicy food but was able to handle it. The spice complemented the dish without overwhelming it. You don't have to use the peppers and fish sauce if those don't suit your tastes. A server informed us that the Hot & Sour Seafood Pho has a similar flavor as the original soup. • Mì vit tiem (Vietnamese duck noodle soup) This was a special for the day and may not always be available, but we were very happy with this savory dish. • Jojo #3 dessert (white/red mung beans, taro paste, honey boba, rainbow jelly, coconut meat, pink pearls, pandan jelly with coconut milk) Vietnamese desserts are seriously underrated and not as available as they should be in Utah. The textures and flavors in this made for the perfect sweet treat!

Thank you, Pho Bien Hoa / Jojo Teahouse & Desserts, for the incredible...

A friend of mine invited me out to dinner (on a Thursday night) because she wanted me to try pho at this place. She had been here twice before. When we walked in, the man at the register told us it would be just a few minutes. after a few more minutes he told us he would hurry and clean off a table for us. Half the tables were empty so not sure why this particular one was for us. But after about 5 minutes of waiting (with no line), which wasn't to bad... we were seated at the booth with our menus. After 5 more minutes of waiting, without anyone taking our drink orders, a waitress walked up and set 2 cups of water on the table and turned to walk away as she turned I asked her if I could get some lemon with the water. (I don't like the taste of tap water so I add lemon to it when I go places.) But she completely ignored me and walked away. A few minutes later she walked past and again, I asked if I could get lemons. Again she completely ignored me and kept on walking. After 10 more minutes with no drink order and no food order (and no lemons) my friend suggested we just leave and go somewhere else. My friend and I got up and walked out... with her comment being .. "I have never had this experience here before, but this is unacceptable. The waitress completely ignored you, not once, but twice. Then, to be ignored for so long, I was disgusted. I will have to find a new...

I placed a phone order for spring rolls and chicken pho with no onions due to allergies. I repeated "no onions" three times. They said my order would be ready in 10minutes. I got there in 15 minutes and they told me it would be ready in 10 more minutes. They were busy, it happens. After I got home,, I opened the box with the noodles and chicken... There were regular and green onions all over the chicken and noodles. Very disappointed. They didn't put napkins, utensils or fortune cookies in the bag either. I should've checked before I left the place.. Overall this was a poor experiebce that happened over a year ago. I havent ordered pho from here since. The broth is really flavorful though.

I figured I'd give them another shot and I'm glad I did. The service is better since that old experience and the food is too good not to have every now and then. The main positive things to highlight, however are their peanut sauce (thee best I've ever had, just my opinion) spring rolls, chicken & shrimp pad thai, vermicelli noodles with grilled chicken, and the chicken wings which are all...

As a diner at Pho Bien Hoa in Taylorsville, Utah, I recently had the pleasure of trying their cơm tấm, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The dish was served with tender and flavorful grilled pork, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The broken rice had a nice texture, complementing the meat well. The dish was accompanied by a fresh and crisp assortment of vegetables, pickled carrots, and a delicious fish sauce that tied everything together. The portion size was generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. The presentation was appealing, with vibrant colors and an inviting aroma that made the meal even more enjoyable. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff who were attentive and quick to respond to any requests. The atmosphere at Pho Bien Hoa is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Overall, I highly recommend the cơm tấm at Pho Bien Hoa for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting

UPDATE They've started charging a 20% gratuity for groups of 5 or more. Mandatory tips are bad enough, but 20% is much higher than normal and the threshold of 5 people is much lower than normal. I'm gonna have to take some stars off for that. The food is still good, but I hate shady business practices like that. The service wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't 20% good (many of us had empty water for the first half of the meal until we asked for a refill and the server just gave us a pitcher.) ---- Excellent fried rolls and phở. I'm fact, it's one of my 3 favorite phở restaurants I know of (and I've been to many). It's my daughter's #1 favorite. It's more expensive than it used to be, but everything is now-a-days thanks to all the inflation. Still, it's a good deal in that you get enough delicious food to fill you to the brim all for the price of a combo meal at some fast food places.
