I should charge a couple grand for some of this consulting advice.
Owners take heed, I read a couple of other reviews and you are not learning or making changes to correct the problem. I guess it’s ok if you don’t want more new business or repeat customers. I’m not the only one who has this experience.
We went yesterday to Mr. and Mrs. crab our first time there. Our experience was horrible. Here’s why.
My dad and I ordered two each, of the crab cakes and broiled corn on the cob. My son had the chicken strips and fries. The crab cakes were really good.
I specifically asked to make sure that the seasonings were on the corn. It was also stated on the menu.
it took them 30 minutes to bring the food out. I noticed the even when we placed the order waiter’s attitude was, it’s not a big order and I’m not gonna get much of a tip. Because of that and the waiter didn’t wanna pay any attention to us.
When our orders arrived I noticed the corn didn’t have any seasoning, no butter, no salt and pepper or the broil seasoning I requested. The Waiter’s response was because the corn on the cob isn’t more than five dollars. All you get is steamed corn. Additionally, it was only about 4 inches in size, and very bland and hardly any flavor.
I can’t believe, your company is so tight or cheap on money on a you can’t afford to add a pinch or two of seasoning. What does that cost you? A penny Mabey 2.
I did notice how the waiter treated the other customers those that were paying for the bigger Broyles, he was very attentive and helpful to them, refilling drinks and making sure the customer was happy.
We just sat abandon for additional 30 minutes waiting for the check. I had to ask for it, as he walked past us and by the way, the food is terribly expensive. I noticed a couple of plates that were well over $100.
My dad actually left him a really good tip. However, I wouldn’t have done it. The waiter never came out to refill our drinks. We had to ask somebody else.
Your employees are not looking out for your company or provide the best customer experience. They Only want big tips for their pocket. If their attitude can’t be fixed to you will continue to Loose business. You shou consider letting them go and Hiring the right talent. It’s is crucial to the success of any company.
Do you think I’m going to recommend you to my friends? I guarantee we’ll talk about our experience, and get a good laugh about how cheap your company is. The lack of customer service and attitude of the Waiter it will cost you a lot of business over a few pinches of seasoning.
Your employees should treat all your customers with respect no matter if they spend $50 for crab cakes and chicken strips versus $100+ for a broil.
I felt our waiters is attitude was no big order it’s “ no soup for you.”, I mean customer service for you.
By the way, what’s the deal with the Nearly naked ladies on the license plate, at your greeting station, showing off their buns in A string bikini or butt floss.
First that opens you up for a sexual harassment lawsuit by your employees. And in my opinion, it’s not kid friendly.
Over all and based on 40 years of customer experience, if you don’t train your employees better teach them about customer service and attitude changes or if they won’t or you won’t correct it. you won’t be in business long. Without customers you have no revenue, and the doors will Soon close.
Your response to my review missed the mark. You still can’t afford to put salt and pepper on the table? KFC corn you can get salt pepper butter if you want. BTW telling your customers in a post they never had a broil. Isn’t good. It’s clear you forget who you work for. The customer. Remember the first two rules of business is the customer is always right. Second rule when in doubt see rule one. Just from my experience many of my friends laughed at the situation. You won’t have to worry about them visiting your establishment...
Read moreWe went last night (12/31/22). Great food, Service has horrible for an empty restaurant.
3 other tables, then our party of 14 at 7pm. Manager/Host were nice at first then just stayed up at Host Stand.
Our Server was Maggie. She took drink order for 3 of the 5 of us at our table, odd. She spent a lot of time at the bar chit chatting with another Server or Bartneder.
Just figured at that point she didn't really care about how great her service was as she had us on Auto-Grat. Auto-Grat is fine but I still expect decent service, we did not get that at all so did not leave extra tip.
We are a group of heavy drinkers when we go out which I know are a big percent of a restaurant's sales. Maggie explained nothing on the menu and when we did ask questions, she was obviously bothered by that.
We ordered: Fried Pickles and Hush Puppies to start along with pitchers beer and cocktails. Fried Pickles should state on menu that they are Bread and Butter or Sweet Pickles As that is not the norm. Hush Puppies were mediocre. Ranch is awful. Ordered a #1 and added King Crab and Crawfish. Mild seasoning was good, side of "Hot sauce/seasoning" was barely hotter than the Mild so do not know if that was correct or not as it was not hot. No offers to refill water, no offer of more drinks. (Which we would have ordered.)
Maggie took one table's order (as we were split in to 2 tables) 20 minutes before our table as she just skipped us. We did not know at the time and had to go track her down. Really disrupted an entire group from eating together. Maggie forgot an order of rice which was one person's meal as they do not eat seafood but came to join friends.
Happens but sad when only 4 other small tables in there at that time and 2 other servers.
We had a coupon I received for my birthday and Maggie said we could not use it as it was a Holiday...? Funny, coupon didn't state that. I didn't argue as I just wanted to leave. Very unfortunate.
I have followed your restaurant since I heard you were opening. With so much competition in that area, don't think I will go back. There is another seafood boil place in same shopping center with better service.
I do understand staffing shortages BUT it does not excuse poor service and will not get people to return. Your Managers should try to table-touch and actually observe their staff which is impossible behind a wall at Host Stand.
Hope you do well in Taylorsville but you didn't gain my business.
(I have already contacted the business directly and emailed corporate. My IG direct message was not well-received; their social media guy tried to send it to what he thought was my boss BUT it was not - my review was an honest representation of what service we received and I still stand by it. )
Corporate reached out via email on Monday 01/02/23 and asked for a copy of my receipt. I provided that and haven't heard anything since except to email...
Read morewhen we entered Mr. & Mrs. Crab, we were promptly greeted and brought to a table. the establishment seemed clean in dinning room and restroom. it has a nautical theme like any seafood restaurant. our server came and introduced him self as Jensen with in two minutes of sitting down. He got our drinks and said he would be right back. But before he left i asked him what's the market price for their king crab. He said " it $69.99" , i told him thank you and he left to get our drinks. He brought our drinks back and took our order answering all questions we had and helping us order. their was three of us, I personally didn't get the king crab a little to expensive for me. But my wife did, it was small i thought for king crab, but they do go by weight. anyway we ate our food and enjoyed. The food was good! We finished eating and got our box and the check. My grandmother was paying i let her deal with it, thinking everything would be good. I was wrong after she had already paid I looked at the check, in my eyes kind of rude on my part. I'm so glad I did, the $69.99 king crab on the check was $89.99. So, no big deal talk to the manager and straighten this out. after talking to three server who came to try and help me. I finally got to talk to the manager Alyssa. I told her the situation and she looked at me and said " No refunds". At that I told her that was false advertising and then she got angry and started arguing with me and saying it wasn't their fault the market price changed. So i said " Isn't that your job, to know the prices and let your servers know that the price had changed"? She said " I'll give you a ten percent off your next visit. which if you know how to do math your check would at least have to be $200 to get the money we lost. I had a long day already and said "whatever fine" and started to walk back to our table. Then our server gave me twenty dollars out of his own pocket to us for the problem. then after we started walking out. she said " oh, i was going to refund the amount, don't you want your refund"? at this point I felt like a mouse being played with by a cat. I said yes , then brought my party up to the front because at this point we were all ready to go. it took another fifteen minutes to get everything squared away. I gave a 2 out of 5 because the staff did great and the food was good. if the manager was apart of it it would have been far higher score. My family comes here often, this was my first time we will not...
