La Puente Homemade Mexican Food — Restaurant in Taylorsville

Love this place! And usually they’re really good and the staff is usually welcoming & very nice, However the last two times I have order the service has been a mess! Last week I had called in and placed a order by the time I came to pick it up found out it was never placed! So I had to reorder again . Today when I came in to place my order I told the girl about my experience last time and that is why I came in to place my order this time. She just walked away for me started helping other people at tables! I was like OK I guess she doesn’t want to help me and then I had to sit there and wait for a few more minutes Till they got someone to come take my order and the girl didn’t even speak English! So she apparently understood enough English to take my order and she didn’t get it right After a few tries of communicating with her. And then finally after 10 minutes when my food did come they just put it on the counter I paid them but they didn’t Tie the bag like they usually do in the paper bag that the chili ready was in they threw that in there so it was like on the side not standing right up. They didn’t even close the bag And I didn’t even say anything , I just smiled and was patient like I was when I came in. What happened next frustration set in, As I was walking towards my car the bag of the chili Verde spilled everywhere on the ground. Looks like the bottom of the bag was wet! So then I came inside and told her what happened and showed her the bag that it was wet and so it broke and she acted like I was lying I said where show me outside so I showed her she didn’t even say sorry she went in and I know she spoke to the other lady about some thing the other lady went off to help somebody else and she then she started helping taking other people’s order. So I sat there for two minutes thinking is she going to help me or what. So after about five minutes I asked her did she tell the cooks about what happened and I need another one she said yes when I proceeded to wait another 10 minutes for it to come!And when it did she didn’t even say anything I’ve never experienced worst customer service in my life at this place I’m pretty disappointed.I know they may be tired and hot I get that But maybe they need to hire more staff to help so they’re not as exhausted or tired that they’re missing orders are like throwing things together at the last minute That create...

This restaurant just opened, and I believe they were busier than they could handle. Kinks need to be worked out, and I completely understand that. I can be patient until then, but last nights customer service experience was just awful. We walked into the restaurant and just stood there for about 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. The lady at the front desk was trying to help a to go order pay for their food and it was taking a while. When we finally got seated, the waitress took our order and brought us our drinks. So far, so good. We then waited a whole 45 minutes for our food to come, and not once did the waitress come over and speak to us - no drink refills, no "I'm sorry for the long wait," nothing. When we tracked her down and asked her about an update on our order, she reacted like she was annoyed by our questions and told us she would check (again, I totally understand that they were overwhelmed, and she was probably just frustrated). We immediately got our food and my plate was cold and food was lukewarm. Of course when it came time to get the check our waitress was right on it. We stood in line for 10 minutes before the hostess asked if anyone was paying cash. We then paid very quickly and left. I am disappointed with my experience. While I don't really care about the long wait times, the customer service leaves me not wanting to come back. Okay.. this place is probably one of the grossest places I've ever gone to eat. First it's so cold inside, second the waiter was very VERY rude, third the food.. oh my gosh the food was so so disgusting. I've never heard of a "Mexican restaurant " not having Pico de gallo. I've never heard of that in my life. Also.. we found a hair in our burrito.. it was so gross. I told the waiter what I had found and she STILL wanted to charge me for the full price. When they did not even offer to replace the food we found the hair in. Honestly, though we had lost our appetite after seeing the hair. So we just wanted to leave. When leaving they DID NOT want to take off the plate we found the hair in. They were charging the full price. I was not about to do that. The owner did not want to come out and talk to me. Until FINALLY she did. She did argue with me asking why she had to take it off. I explained to her why and how I found the hair. She did not Apologize, she did not offer to make a new plate she just said and I quote "what do you want me to do?" I obviously told her to take it off as we did not eat it. Honestly, This place is a joke. Do not waste your time, energy or money at this place. If your craving Mexican food just go to Betos, or Mi Ranchito you're better off there than here even Taco Bell.. go to Taco bell instead. This place is not worth your money.
