Delicious, fresh, hot, simple, convenient, comfort food served fast! My partner and I love visiting here when in the area. Frostee Freeze is a perfect alternative to the other local dining options. There is not a great deal of choice when it comes to dining out in the local area. There are the obligatory fast food chains, sit down restaurants and food trucks. If you're looking for something a little different, fun, unique, "retro", old-school you will love Frostee Freeze. Simply drive in, park and someone will take your order and deliver the food directly to your car. If you prefer there is a small patio for outdoor dining and a dining room. However, the dining room was closed the day of our last visit. The menu is the standard drive in favorites; burgers, hot dogs, fries and onion rings. An absolute must have is their homemade milk shakes! Fabulous! Regardless of what you order for a meal, you must try the milk shake. They have a large selection of flavors; everything from chocolate to vanilla and my personal favorite carmel. My partner and I both ordered and enjoyed a cheeseburger with crinkle fries and soda. Unfortunately, they were out of onion rings, definitely our favorite side. If available, I highly recommend the onion rings.....you won't be disappointed! If you're in the area, and craving something a little different, you must drive in and try this place. Frostee Freeze is very popular and is often very crowded. The customer parking can get a little crazy during peak hours. If you can find a parking space GRAB IT! Enjoy! Remember to try the onion rings...
Read moreAwesome food and low prices! Their food always tastes great! Even when they are busy wait time is reasonable. My only criticisms would be first they need to make some repairs and updates to their dining room and parking lot. It's nothing big I just think some updating would help and make it look cleaner. The parking lot could use some new pavement and some thought to the parking, maybe have an area for drive-in customers and another area for dine-in customers which would also help them in knowing who needed service and improve accuracy and speed for their customers. My second criticism is that their meat on their burgers keep getting smaller and smaller. A girl who works there verified this is true not just my opinion. It's either 2 or 2.5 oz. Of meat on a burger. I understand their cost on stuff goes up but maybe figure out another way like raising burger prices slightly or offering different size burgers. They could do a 2 oz burger, 5oz burger, & 8oz burger giving the customers the option of how much meat they want on their burger without getting all bread and veggies and also covering their out of pocket costs so they can make...
Read moreThis place was recommended by someone local. I will say it looks nice and a lot of people were getting orders to go so it is very popular. I know that sometimes you just don't get lucky on a meal you order. Maybe that was my case. I ordered a plain cheeseburger and other than Krystal have never received less meat on a hamburger in my life. I could see through holes in it, it was that thin. My fries were also the most drenched in oil that I've ever had in my entire life... No joke. I Sun that up to bad luck again. My wife and kids fries looked somewhat better. My burger and fries are pictured with this post.
The price for it mask was very affordable but I couldn't finish the fries and the ones I did eat were smashed in napkins to get the grease out. I eat at diners similar to this as much as possible and this was a huge letdown. Again, judging by the asking of people waiting for orders in their cars outside, if say they do something right. I just think maybe I had bad luck here. To be in vacation I feel I wasted my time here when there were many other restaurants I'd love to try on my 40 minute drive here from the park we...
